I already had installed BIOS 217 version, few days after were published.
With my actually kernel: 3.8.0-27-generic amd64 now every fn+key works
perfectly except fn+F2.
All other fn+key, included the fn+space and the fn+calc, works perfectly.

Thanks for the report, it's not a bug in (L)Ubuntu, you need to import
the correct archive signing keys with apt-key. You should ask the
openprinting.org maintainers to put it somewhere on their webpage.

Just tried the work-around provided by Tim (darkxst) in comment #31).
Just installed a programme with the software center and it did nog
crash. So, it seems, Tim's work-around is correct. Thanks Tim.

Same problem here:
I have 2 computers, both 13.04 amd64.
After choosing sync, software center shows only the local pc but never the
other machine.
Ubuntu1 shows both machines; file sync works fine.

just had this problem when installing 12.04.2 LTS on a macbook pro 5.5
i could use the default image, but at the grub boot parameters i had to add
nomodeset and remove the gfxmode $linux_gfx_mode. for debugging purposes i
removed quiet and splash earlier to see where it hangs...

The work-around stated previously should use $HOME instead of ~
(tilde in quotes translates to literal tilde):
$ mkdir -p $HOME/.config/ReText project/
$ echo iconTheme=Humanity $HOME/.config/ReText project/ReText.conf
