I'm going to merge the 12.12.1-3 version from Sid. I'll keep an eye to
the package to see if the version in experimental is ready to come in
Ubuntu. Keep in mind that this software vversion will be available in
the future release of Ubuntu (saucy, 13.10), not the actually stable one

Just a quick report:
I downloaded Ubuntu 12.04.2. I couldn't reproduce my bug on this system,
everything looks fine.
(However I installed it on an USB-Stick, not my actual hard drive but this
shouldn't make any difference, I hope)
However I used Kernel 3.5.0-23.
But this bug was reported under
7326afa uptime 21:45, no issues.

I have run the: alsamixer -c0 command
nothing is muted.
did something change in the upgrade? I did not have to go to bios to set up my
sound in the previous release.
