I have a pair of system disks (raid/luks) which I am able to boot.

The file called Israel is symlinked to your current Asia/Jerusalem file instead
of the file you just extracted, this is why you see the current values of your
system instead of the updated ones, try zdump -v Asia/Jerusalem | grep
'2013\|2014', you should see the changes.

This same thing happened to me.

It's full of bugs and totally unnecessary, nobody maintains it, since
2012 it's disable the startscreen buttons, essentially change Firefox's
interface, and break stability and compatibility. In short: it's a shit.
