I've been experiencing this error for a while too, and reading the
comments above I see that ssh -X was a component of the issue for a lot
of people. I frequently log into this computer via ssh -X. I

I guess we still use a deprecated palette.
Should we create a very limited palette with only 6 colors or one with all the

Hi, thanks for your answer.
This was the start of my bug report. When I installed i8kutils, aptitude
installed tk8.4 as a dependancy. Then when I ran i8kmon I had the error
I posted in comment. tk8.5 was not installed.
I think the dependancy with tk8.4 must be changed to tk8.5, am I right ?
In addition, you're right : tcl8.5 is installed. That's maybe why tk8.5
is mandatory...
Any way to solve this ? I have solved it by installing tk8.5. But the
package dependancy is still kind of broken.

is that the most recent Ubuntu versions ship with Apache 2.4 and it new
authorization model. Even though mod_access_compat is enabled, the Order/Allow

No, for some reason it's crashing and not attaching the data. Until we
can get that working can you boot into the kernel with broken wifi and
run these commands in a terminal:

Whith the file /etc/default/grub.d/50_kubuntu.cfg modified when I

bzr branch lp:update-notifier cd update-notifier
sudo -s
rm /var/lib/update-notifier/fsck-at-reboot; data/update-motd-fsck-at-reboot
data/update-motd-fsck-at-reboot
and I cannot reproduce it any more after my fix in

bluetooth working in 3.2.0-55 kernel too.

Yes, *please* backport this to 12.04.
By the way there was a workaround that allowed proxy authentication to
work with https in the old version, but unfortunately this will break
once the fix ships (not surprising, since it shamelessly abuses the
overly permissive URI parser in apt):
No I saw no error messages. I'll try to delete lxlock and try again.
