Can you please confirm that the filesystem of that disk is in a good
condition ?
If it's NTFS then it would be better to check it with a Windows tool.
If it's linux filesystem (e.g. ext4) the you can use fsck tool.

properties-common (repositories) to check for updates daily and display
security updates immediately (weekly for other updates), I have never
once had Update Manager (excuse me - Software Updater, as it now seems

For me, in syslog I found the error message hci0: Start Discovery
(0x0023) failed: Not Powered (0x0f). I could not discover or connect
any bluetooth device.
Running the command hciconfig hci0 up fixed it for me.

regarding this being fixed with an update. For future reference you can
manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the current status in
the yellow line
On my system /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch does not exist. I did 'sudo
dpkg --add-architecture i386' and ran an 'apt-get update' but that
didn't change the situation - /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch still does
not exist and I still cannot install wine.

I did a fresh install of 13.10 (nothing unusual about my install that I
can think of) and I can't install wine either:
talbert@crashback:~$ sudo apt-get install wine

I am marking this as fixed, since its possible to change the keybinding
and tilda will ask the user for a key if the default keybinding is
already in use.

2 x 250GB HDDs, combined into a single RAID0 (striped) volume using Intel
onboard RAID.
(Note: the same system works fine if I attempt to install *without* the Intel
RAID volume configured.)

I'd rank this problem as critical, since it utterly prevents me from
reinstalling Ubuntu on my primary workstation. There is no known workaround
(yet).
I have tried pre-partitioning the disk and pre-formatting the partitions, that
didn't make any difference. (In fact, ubiquity insists it's
Géza Búza, for regression testing purposes, could you please test for
this in Lucid via http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid/ ?

Osman Çaylak, sometimes kernels don't build on certain points. The best way to
go is to change the commit one is building against. Try narrowing the git
bisect to:
git bisect bad v2.6.38
