I tracked the problem to /var/lib/dpkg/info/nvidia-prime.postrm: 75
(just as the log says)
I have found a fix ( well, almost a fix ). I used sudo leafpad to open the
/var/lib/dpkg/info/nvidia-prime.postrm file. I deleted everything between

Sounds like /dev/sda1 is your root filesystem. Of course it gets
remounted at boot; it's mounted read only from the initramfs, then fsck
runs, then it's remounted read-write. This is how it's been done for

(kernel 3.11.0-14-generic). Tried adding acpi_backlight=vendor to grub,
but backlight keys still not working after suspend.

/sys/class/backlight/toshiba/brightness changes from 0 to 7 when
changing brightness, however there is no real effect on screen
