After i upgraded and got the black screen and all that...i discovered a

I finally have some good news. I installed Win7 guest using qemu and
passed pci card to it. Win7 was able to detect it. I closed Win7, and
reinserted snd_hda_intel, and now it detects both analog and digital

I cannot switch user graphical session anymore. Ubuntu 13.10 here, lightdm
1.8.5-0ubuntu1.
The screen goes black with text cursor blinking in the top left corner and a
mouse arrow. After some time I get back to my session.

Hi, this fixed it for me on saucy too, using linux-
image-3.11.0-15-generic from -proposed. Before this kernel update, the
virsh blockcopy would not work due to being blocked by apparmor.

this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1265041, so is being marked as such.
I found the problem to be in xfsettingsd and not the power manager, and
'apt-file search xfsettingsd' indicates that the daemon is part of the
xfce4-settings package.

I wonder if this is affected by the quantity of files stored on the
flickrfs. Things worked okay for me at first but after uploading several
hundred files I started to suffer from this issue. Sets are detected and
populated (or partially populated) then this exception occurs.
Specifically, I get

1. Node scrips launch using #!/usr/bin/env node, this does not work with the
13.10 nodejs package
- the 'node' command needs to launch Node.js
- update-alternatives or similar function can be used to distinguish from that
other node package.
2. Node.js is not useful

helpful is if we just revert the noted commit in the latest mainline and see if
it continues to occur via a terminal, reboot, and testing the new kernel:

Well, after dealing with this a little I remembered that mceusb was in
the blacklist to get reading Smart Cards with this device. So, the
module has nothing to do with USB keys or SD cards. In fact, now I can
safely re-enable it without losing Smart Card functionalities.
Better yet, I've managed
