After complete system reinstall, and selecting fglrx from Driver Manager
(instead of manually installing from http://support.amd.com/en-
us/download/desktop?os=Linux%20x86_64) I have no problems. No need for
manual install.

Tested and very pleased to say the problem is fixed in our environment.

When trying to publish a photo, only Picasa and Piwigo are shown in the

Hmm, I had some issues with my receiver so I was just testing without
ac3 passthrough.
I had forgotten about setting that.
Pulseaudio shouldn't crash anyhow. This crash happened a few times
during watching a movie so I could set back to ac3 passthrough again and

I managed to install 14.04 by creating a separate /boot partition. I
still got the error message that grub-efi-amd64-signed failed to
install; but opening gparted before closing the installer, I notcied the
/boot had about 150 MB on it.
The system EFI boot menu does not show any entry for 14.04,
This is an Asus X201E that came with 12.04 as an OEM install. There are
(presumably) no issues with Windows EFI involved.
