filled a new bug (#1364616) in which I give the log of installation. And
I noticed the error :

I've extracted the file
I just had this happen to me with 2.1+dfsg-3ubuntu3 on utopic. I had a
VM I had been using for a days, then did a 'uvt stop -rf ...' followed
by 'uvt update sec-utopic-amd64' and I was dropped to a grub rescue. :\
I'll downgrade again and regenerate the VM.

Yesterday (9/09/2014) I updated Ubuntu base via Software Updater and now
my sound does not work out of built in laptop speakers or the headphone
jack.
The Sound Settings (unity-control-center sound) does not show any
devices. AlsaMixer, after F5 (show all) has 2 channels I
No, and in fact, the GPS works. It just takes ~20 - ~30 minutes to fix
on a satellite in standalone mode. We are working to resolve that
situation.

Unsure if my problem is related or not. I have observed in a few
occasion today where I see the light-locker login. After login I get a
black screen. This only happens /sometimes/ not sure how to reproduce
it.
I've followed the instructions to fix the previous problem regarding the
same symptom

14.01.1 right after the point release. After the upgrade I couldn't start KDE
because of a buggy startkde script. Yesterday I upgraded again this package and
