OK... I was using the nvidia-current drivers in xubuntu 14.10 with no
issues whatsoever. The issues I have with that driver did not appear until
I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04. So are we supposed to hold Nvidia
accountable for what appears to me to be a Ubuntu problem? Or am I simply

I also compared 10 minutes of file process wakeup activity (old pre-
Christmas image vs lastest RTM image) and I'm seeing little different
between old vs new, so no obvious regressions there.

The bug still exists with 3.19.0-031900rc4-generic.
The bug does not exist with 3.19.0-994-generic. However the pointer is very
laggy.
I think I can only revert to 3.16.7-031607.201410301735 in the mean
time...
