ctrl alt delete causes logout

I assigned to you because I noticed you are the maintainer of Debian's
acpi-support package, and we grab updates from Debian. Sorry for not
explained.
While this is true for a lot of packages, it's completely the opposite for
acpi-support. Upstream for acpi-support is Ubuntu, Debian adds a lot

Steps to reproduce:-
1. Open contacts (or another app with bottom edge such as clock or messaging)
2. Swipe up from the bottom slowly with one finger.
3. When half way swiped up, use another finger to swipe in from the right
Observe the bottom edge panel is now stuck half

3. maximize the window
4. move the mouse cursor all the way to the right of the screen
5. click and drag up or down

ASUS K53SV won't

After I've updated ubuntu to Utopic on my laptop (Asus K53SV) I can't
shutdown, reboot or suspend. System just hangs on Will now halt or
Will now reboot. Different combinations of kernel params
acpi=force, acpi=off etc didn't help.
