I have discovered that the cause of this behaviour is a file conflict
betweentwo seperate defaults.list files. In Mint 17 XFCE my
/usr/share/applications/defaults.list and /etc/gnome/defaults.list
point to a different web browser. My

This issue seems to marked as fix released under Trusty, but I am seeing the
issue (or one
very similar). I have a brand-new SSD drive that I've put into an external USB
enclosure
and I am trying to install 14.10 onto it.
When I click on Erase Disk (the only apparently available option) after
Ok, nevermind. This seems to be another issue. Namely for some reason
/home fails to mount at boot for some reason: The disk drive for /home
is not ready yet or not present. Continue to wait; or press s to skip
mounting or M for manual recovery. The workaround appears to be to
delete all LVM
This particular phenomenon depends on your keyboard hardware. Some less
expensive keyboard use a reduced number of physical scan lines, and
common place where this has an effect is when the up-arrow and left-
arrow keys share a common line, meaning the keyboard itself can not
distinguish between

As far as I understand, this is a bug in gparted which fails/failed to
lock the partition/filesystem. This is a bug that cannot/shouldn't be

was prepared by Steve Langasek). The main changes are to get more in
sync with Debian.
There is still a lot of work required to get us in sync (or almost) with
Debian since they've already moved on to

left handed mouse in lxinput it will switch the mouse buttons but only

Hello,
I ve got the very same situation. What works in my case was simply to give it
a second chance:
sudo apt-get -f install
and taboomtsss it is OK.
Still it is nothing more than a workaround, and bug exists.

Sorry if this is not appropriate but I have the exact same problem. I
just added
/etc/init.d/minecraft start
to
/etc/rc.local
Not ideal, but a workaround none the less is better than having upset
