[Bug 1476011] Re: hp-setup plugin file does not match its checksum
Sourceforge site is down (http://sourceforge.net/blog/sourceforge-infrastructure-and-service-restoration/) and unfortunately hp-plugin utility is not able to fetch the plugin.conf from sorceforge site. Can you directly download the plugin files from here: https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.2-plugin.run https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.2-plugin.run.asc To install the plugin file you can run command 'sudo sh hplip-3.15.2-plugin.run' in terminal or you can run command 'sudo hp- plugin' in terminal and choose the second option to manually select the hplip-3.15.2-plugin.run file and install. [Bug 1336541] Re: No TRIM via USB
TRIM is accessible via hdparm --trim-sector-ranges on a USB device supporting ATA PASS THROUGH: Device is an SSD in a USB 3.0 adapter identified in lshw as follows: Bus 001 Device 005: ID 174c:55aa ASMedia Technology Inc. ASMedia 2105 SATA bridge Adapter is hosting a 180GB Intel 530 M.2 NGFF SSD fstrim fails as described with FITRIM ioctl failed: Operation not supported even though the hdparm invocation works fine. I've tested full ext4 filesystem trims using wiper.sh, the utility by Mark Lord that was bundled for a while with hdparm until fstrim came out. This utility works by wrapping the hdparm invocation. So it definitely seems to be the case that the USB driver stack is declining to implement TRIM even in cases where it is technically able to do so. Given the extremely high performance of USB3+, it seems very likely that USB-connected SSDs will become increasingly usual. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1336541 Title: No TRIM via USB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1336541/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1465862] Re: Mouse Cursor Invisible
I'm going back to the 100% of the time issue. I'm finding that the 100% occurs during boot when I switch to the detailed output part of the boot (ESC) instead of leaving it at the graphical mode. It does NOT explain the disappearing mouse when I hover over a terminal window. The mouse would reappear if: 1) I move the mouse out of the terminal window or 2) I click in the terminal window. The disappearing state is not 100% of the time and will get introduced at any point during the session. It does NOT explain the disappearing mouse completely at unknown/random times. It is pretty rare, but can happen. I'm not sure if I had tried just logging out and back (like at the boot-login time) in when it happens at that time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1465862 Title: Mouse Cursor Invisible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1465862/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1453289] Re: network-manager asks for passwords it already knows
I've noticed this also interferes sometimes with automated power testing. [Bug 1448102] Re: Kubuntu 15.04: plasmashell crashes
Same problem here: Plasma freezes after few minutes, no choice but reboot... and freeze again. I went through dist-upgrade, fresh install, but same issue. I've installed ubuntu-desktop on my Kubuntu 15.04: Unity freezes in the same way! I've apt-get purged the nouveau driver and installed the nVidia proprietary driver: Unity now works just fine, and Plasma doesn't freeze anymore but remains absolutely useless because incredibly slow. [Bug 1476178] [NEW] Installer tries to install grub on the wrong disk
Public bug reported: I have just installed Ubuntu 14.04 on a Dell precision M3800, via download of the USB network installer. This gave me some headache installing grub, since during the install, the hard disk was assigned to /dev/sdb. Installing the file system worked well, but the grub part failed. No matter what I did, it always tried to install grub on /dev/sda I ended up in continuing the install without bootloader, and when finished, I escaped the install sequence and executed a shell where I executed this command: grub-install --root-directory=/target /dev/sda Thus I worked around the problem, but I think that this is an easily fixable bug in the installer. It should just check which device is mounted on /target PS: I guess the cause of this behaviour, is that the USB stick which I use, does not contain a driver for the disk controller. Thus the driver module is first loaded when the USB gets network access and can fetch the driver from the net. Thus the USB is always assigned /dev/sda. When the system is installed the kernel knows the driver and the disk gets /dev/sda ** Affects: xubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1476178 Title: Installer tries to install grub on the wrong disk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xubuntu-meta/+bug/1476178/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1460466] Re: stepbill.app homepage does not work
Thanks for reporting. Indeed the homepage links fails to load. Since Ubuntu has synced this package from Debian, I tried checking for a newer version there, or possibly forward the bug report. However, it looks like the package has been removed from Debian [1], see [2] for more information on why. :/ [1] https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/stepbill.app [2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=544925 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #544925 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=544925 ** Changed in: stepbill.app (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Tags added: wily -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1460466 Title: stepbill.app homepage does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/stepbill.app/+bug/1460466/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1476175] [NEW] Missing rollover breaks windows PXE booting.
Public bug reported: [Impact] The implementation of rollover allows transfers to reset the block number counter back to 0 after reaching 2^16, allowing to transfer files of any size. This is particularly useful when grabbing large files. This prevents MAAS from successfully installing windows based OS's. [Test Case] 1. Install MAAS 2. Upload aa windows image. 3. Deploy windows with traidtional installer. 4. Without the fix, windows will fail to deploy. 5. With the fix, windows will deploy correctly. [Regression Potential] Minimal, this has been tested in various different environments and QA'd. ** Affects: python-tx-tftp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Affects: python-tx-tftp (Ubuntu Trusty) Importance: Critical Status: New ** Also affects: python-tx-tftp (Ubuntu Trusty) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: python-tx-tftp (Ubuntu) Status: New = Fix Released ** Changed in: python-tx-tftp (Ubuntu Trusty) Importance: Undecided = Critical -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to python-tx-tftp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1476175 Title: Missing rollover breaks windows PXE booting. Looks like the merge proposal from comment #1 has been merged now. [Bug 1447224] Re: Regression: Unable to select audio or subtitle tracks
Excuse my language, it was late and i was quite upset on the broken Fullscreen-Easteregg -so to speak- that this update meant for me and all others that updated and were used to have a context-menu in Fullscreen. I actually didn't even noticed there was such a bug, cause i usally use Totem in Fullscreen, until i checked it today. Nevertheless this isn't a fix, you take a bug fix it and in reverse create another one, this is messy bugfixing if you ask me, and i guess there will be more 'upset' people coming once this update has come around 100%. The Problem beeing that you lose the every kind of interaction within fullscreen except for the very basic stuff, i could totally live with having to go into windowed-mode if it was just for the subs's but Maximize/Scale/ etc.. For me Totem used to be a tool i didn't even think about touching, but after the mayor-UI Changes it became a really straight-forward player, minimalistic yet intuitively easy to use, this update basically destroyed exactly that intuitiveness that i really started to love for me, so much so that i rarely use VLC anymore, hope this explains a bit why i reacted the way i reacted :) Have a nice day folks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1447224 Title: Regression: Unable to select audio or subtitle tracks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-appmenu/+bug/1447224/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1472407] Re: Segmentation fault uploading a csv using ZF1.12.1
Please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates We do not update stable releases in updates recommended to all users due to regression risk to existing users. I understand that PHP upstream do not maintain stability in their stable branches in the way that Ubuntu users expect, so we currently have no plans to update this. If you can identify a specific upstream commit that fixes this issue then we can cherry-pick it in an SRU. See the linked page for details on the procedure to follow for this. Since you say that this bug is fixed in 5.5.10 and Wily has 5.6.9, I'm marking this Fix Released in the development release and opening a task for Trusty to continue tracking this issue. ** Also affects: php5 (Ubuntu Trusty) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: php5 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1472407 Title: Segmentation fault uploading a csv using ZF1.12.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1472407/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
