Richard, you should be okay. I have had very similar problems when I
upgraded my virtual systems from wily (1510) to xenial (1604) when they
there still were in development mode. I recovered the upgrade by apt-get
-f install, apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade (issued a few times).

I finally got it to install by removing any previous configuration files
that I had altered. Back them up first if you are nervous
cd /etc/mysql
sudo cp my.cnf my.cnf.april16
Sudo rm /etc/mysql/my.cnf
that may be enough to get it running. I also removed a the mysqld.cnf

This matches fine for /dev/sda* type partitions but not /dev/nvme*n*p*

This was fixed a *long* time ago. DVDs are mounted with the correct uid
option so that files owned by nobody appear to be owned by the logged in
user.

csys_fs::write: return -errno on write failure
sysfs writes can fail for various reasons, and returning -errno is
useful for indicating an error so that the caller can determine
the best

I just upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 16.04.
After the upgrade I notice, I was unable to found service with w_scan (France).
I compile w-scan 20130331 and works properly.

I think I see what's going on.
This seems to happen when hidepid is set to anything other than 0. Remounted
/proc with hidepid=0 and this seems to be fixed. Though, it used to work with
other hidepid option, and is still an issue, but this may be an workaround for
those affected...

This is happening to me to.
I cant seem to get either of the workarounds to work. When i try to install the
gdebi package installer in the software center it does the same thing as when I
try to install .deb files.
