My daughter's got a rather old HP PC (Compaq 6510b, released in April 2009)
which works beautifully with LTS version 10.04.
Unfortunately this version is not maintained any more, so I proposed her to
install the latest one 16.04 32b.
And same problem again, Wifi does not
This bug report is confusing two issues. “Show the name of the user in
the lockscreen”, is useful only if the device has multiple users. That
is very different from the feature in Android 5.0 and later and OS X
10.7 and later for displaying custom text (e.g. your contact details) on
the lock
Change d/additions/debian-start to no-op, since it's no longer needed
and was running mysql_upgrade, possibly concurrently with d/postinst

Public bug reported:
Following to the suggestion at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/gnome-screensaver/+bug/1280300/comments/17 I'm opening this new bug.
It's very similar, possibly a duplicate, of #1280300 and #1509711 but
apparently we have to open a bug for every desktop environment
Public bug reported:
After upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04 ("stable"), the mouse cursor is
missing. This persists after re-login and after reboot and after
changing mouse cursor theme or display resolution.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: unity 7.4.0+16.04.20160415-0ubuntu1
This bug started happening on my laptop after installing 16.04. With
12.04 there never was any problem and I never had this problem with an
older laptop, from 8.04 to 15.10.
I'm running XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME-Flashback:Unity
Given the suggestion at #17 I'll open a new bug for that DE.
This seems to still be present in 16.04. I'm experiencing very slow boot
because of gpu-manager - from systemd-analyze:
gpu-manager.service (50.583s)
Any thoughts?

@Aron: No, it doesn't. But now I found out that it's not NM's fault but
caused by a strict "1.2.0" version check in nmqt which is supposed to
remove some API for 1.2, but ofc. didn't catch 1.1.93. I'm talking to
upstream how to resolve that, but this bug can proceed fine.
