Yes, I know. In fact I was using Lucid Lynx which also works with the xbox
360 wireless receiver and controller. And the reason this happened with the
version of Ubuntu I was using at the time of writing this was when I had
moved on to Jaunty I didn't know not to install xpad360 or what ever file

The /etc/resolv.conf in my set up is really a link.
The target is (where folder "var/run" is a link to the folder "run"):
/var/run/NetworkManager/resolv.conf
However, I upgraded NM to the version 1.4.2-2ubuuntu4 and run the following 4
commands:
sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager
It was in my /var/cache/apt/archives/ too! And it does work.

LXD 2.0.6 supports use of distinct sub-uid/gid for each running
container; nova-lxd has support for this upstream in all stable and
master branches so we should update nova-lxd in >= Xenial to support
this feature.
