dropping NPAPI, thus the browser plugin cannot be built any more. I'll

Such errors are not caused by a bug in the package that failed to install, but
rather due to the whole system being in a inconsistent state.
I recommend you ask to a support channel what to do to bring it back to
something usable.

I don't have tried this application, I just came across this bug, but I
guess this is due to structure change written in ./module/gtk3privates.h
(yes, this is originally "private" header in gtk3, so the structures may
change in gtk3).
