1) the patch seems to be reversed :p
2) what about putting the if statement inside calculate_scale call?

Thanks Mike, following your step I was able to use the YouTube plugin
5.4.5 again on My Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS AMD64. I first had to install
standard "python-setuptools" package, then proceeded with the above
steps.

Simply the touchpad doosn't work.
Sometimes i can use it for a few seconds when the OS is just turned on and then
it stops. I tried to activate it using the hotkey, but unsuccessfully.
I can use instead my USB mouse, that works perfectly.
