check /boot to see what are your old kernels that you're not necessarily
using. the system keeps two latest kernels. so if you're upgrading your
kernel to 4.13.0-38, you don't need 4.13.0-36 or older anymore( unless

OK, this is an old bug. The file list coming back from the remote is
truncated, however, I can clearly see vol43 in the list for
the 20171228T132324Z backup. Very confusing.
Would you look on the remote manually and compare the number of files? I'm
sure it is higher.

This no longer appears to be the case in bionic (which is what I have to
hand at the moment to test).
That said, while the situation you report isn't necessarily ideal, it's
also not something we would regard as a bug. ubuntu-desktop makes a
certain set of opinionated choices about what packages

Ok, so the templates were not deleted, but deactivated. In addition to
those which Sebastien reactivated, I have reactivated unity-settings-
daemon and unity-control-center for now.
