Same issue in Ubuntu 18.04, fresh install on Lenovo e540 notebook, with two
different bluetooth mouse
- Logitech M557
- Tecknet BM307
The problem occurs in the following cases:
- Mouse Switch off then on
- Mouse inactivity (leaving the notebook for 5/10 minutes)
- Notebook sleep
- Notebook

I looked at the patch (didn't test it) and I think the fprintf call is
missing an argument to format as a string. It should read like this
IMHO:
- fprintf(mail, "From: root (Cron Daemon)\n");
+ fprintf(mail, "From: %s\n", mailfrom);

James Brierley solution seemed worked for me in Ubuntu 18.04. audio.conf
did not exist so I simply created it. I suspect dumping these in
main.conf would also work.

With a system booted on the network, with its remote root fs on NFS:
Running 'netplan apply' restarts systemd-networkd, which releases the IP
received from DHCP. With no IP (and and IP potentially changing), the
NFS server can't be reached so the system hangs.
