GMIC package in Ubuntu (and Debian) is very old - 1.7.9 release was released at
2016, lots of new versions in new stable branch 2.x.x were released in 2017 and
2018, see http://gmic.eu
Also GMIC 1.7.9 doesn't work with latest stable GIMP 2.10.x releases, it's
ported to 2.10 only since 2.3.0
GMIC is already ported to QT5 since 2017 - all 2.x.x releases doesn't use QT4
Please update gmic package to the latest upstream release - 2.3.5
** Summary changed:
- Please port your package away from Qt 4
