Guys. What I don't get is that it is 2021 now, this bug has been
reported (in 2019) and is tagged "fixed" and still the installer
"crashed" and tells me it is this bug that is happening.
This happens to me on a "clean" machine. I unplugged my harddisk, only
have an SSD installed now. The

Just want to mention that:
I downloaded glade 3.38.1 as source code from glade.gnome.org and built it with
meson and ninja, as instructed, on Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop. (Had to install a lot
of packages to make it build, though).
When I run glade from bash cmd-line I get the message you are
I downgraded to an even older kernel version (linux-image-4.15.0-20-generic,
last changelog entry in April 2018).
The problem still persists -- issue can be closed. Definitely a hardware defect.

ovn: instance unable to retrieve metadata
To manage notifications about this bug
@butterfly was trying to install the package but it says, unable to
locate package.
This is what i tried,
Imported the ppa,
`sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kelebek333/nvidia-legacy`
`sudo apt update`
and tried,
`sudo apt install nvidia-graphics-drivers-340` but it says unable to locate
package.
