One more thing. I was using Focal Fossa, but it was incompatible with a
library needed for a program I needed for my work (gle-graphics). This
forced me to upgrade to Groovy Gorilla and then Hirsute Hippo. My
problems started because 21.04 defaulted to wayland. I have tried out
Impish Indrie
I tried this with my 2 crash reports but ubuntu-bug reported an internal
error each time, so I doubt that they became attached to the bug report.

I've updated from 21.04 to 21.10 and that bug has appeared in kernel
5.13.0-19. When 2 displays are connected simulateneously (DP and HDMI)
before graphics server is started the kernel hangs up and reports that
cpu is locked up. Boot with 5.11 kernel doesn't produce that
I have confirmed that the kernel 5.13.0-20 in impish-proposed solves
this problem for me.
To confirm this, I performed the following steps:
On a ZFS installation:
1) boot from kernel 5.13.0-19.19

- enter reboot command.
- lubuntu shuts down part way, then shows a wobbler with a message something
like
+ invoking reboot from the lxqt menu works well, but if i choose to use
+ /sbin/reboot, eg in a script, shutdown proceeds only part way.

The same issue on Thinkpad E14 gen2 AMD with kernel 5.13.0.19.30. Kernel
5.11.0-38 is ok.

Thinkpad E14 Gen2: Kernel panic with trackpad
This also affects me, and I've been seeing this for many years.
For me, it only happens if I have my keyboard attached via a USB-hub, not if
the keyboard is plugged directly into the computer. It doesn't matter if my
mouse is attached or not.
