I have a barebone with same audio device and completely same problem.
My informations:

Installation goes through fine (install-powerpc64).
Reboot works fine up to GDM login screen.
This becomes a lockout screen; no mouse, no k/b functionality.

The dialog is being displayed on a console that hasn’t been set up by
console-setup. It displays correctly if I change ACTIVE_CONSOLES from
/dev/tty[1-6] to /dev/tty[1-8] in /etc/default/console-setup, *and*
I just found that if I choose Hybernate from the shutdown menu and then
it does completely power off. Resuming failes but that's another bug.

I'll try to describe this to be more easy.
I have a netboot setup in my LAN so that I can boot and install ubuntu
from the a local server. To netboot and install, the main/debian-
installer section needs to be available in my local mirror. I use
preseeding to configure mirror information and

happens is the palm will time out and throw a connection failed error,
while the hotsync progress dialog on the computer continues
indefinitely, stuck on synchronizing ECalendar. I have to do a killall

bytes size. There's no error message at all, the copy process aborts
after being stalled at 0% quite some time.

If people can use later drivers than legacy then they should because the driver
behaviour has changed. legacy will disable GLX when the COMPOSITE extension is
on (and COMPOSITE is enabled by default since Edgy). See Bug #91064 for details

Can confirm the audio distortion after converting (encoding) an .avi to mpeg
and DVD iso.
However, I have no distortion playing music in any format or playing .avi or
.wmv.

I would like to know the differences between Ubuntu Dapper kernel and
the Edgy or Feisty one, that is the problem.
Try Dapper with a live session and tell me if you can surf without
problem.
