Re: [Bug 30665] Re: [Dapper] Buttons show artifacts with 16MB ATI Radeon M6 LY
Hi, Yes I can confirm that with my machine that there are no longer artifacts as of Feisty. However my machine is no longer a standard install. I am using the radeon driver, and several switches. I can provide a copy of my xorg.conf if you like. I also want to point out that initially the artifacts appeared only in certain themes, in particular the default Human theme. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: zope-cmfplone Plone in Ubuntu is outdated - latest release from 2.5 series is 2.5.3 (released in May), it's a mandatory update, according to http://plone.org/products/plone/releases/2.5.3 : Important security fixes for potential XSS vulnerabilities, faster and more robust migration code, and more. [Bug 129226] Re: kernel oops after resuming from suspend to RAM
Thanks for the pointer to the git repo. Whilst I can happily track changes to source packages in Ubuntu, rebuild them etc..., check launchpad - its often a bit of a mystery where the cutting edge work goes on behind the scenes. As the developers bugzilla posts are probably trying to be user-friendly, thereI never seems to be a lot of linking to the underlying technical stuff. For the curious like me, could you point me to which commit you reverte to fix the issue? [Bug 108057] Re: Romanian layout with ș and ț in it is not among the options in the GUI
Mihai: XP users will probably not know where to get that patch, or they would have gotten it by now. I think they'll just get annoyed. There's enough garbage fonts on various sites for them to assume something is broken at the sender/website. Ctomer: depends on how many pepe will use the new Ubuntu, it may or not may be significant. You need to think it as a percentage of Romanian users not of everyone. Otherwise we may claim this bug affects an even smaller fraction of users :) Mișu (heh, a side effect of this thread is that I actually may start using diacritics :) : the bug is indeed in xkeyboard-config not the UI. /etc/X11/xkb/rules/base.xml, part of xkb-data only lists the 3 romanian layouts, so both Debian installer (and Ubiquity) and the GNOME keyboard dialog will show those. I see some functions in the stack about folding, but I'm pretty sure I did not have folds on in any active buffer. i haven't seen this before. vim in gutsy has been generally reliable for me. *** glibc detected *** gvim: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x086e2ae0 *** === Backtrace: = /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(cfree+0x1bb)[0xb730693b] gvim(ga_clear+0x15)[0x811a4c5] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(deleteFoldRecurse+0x29)[0x80dd239] gvim(clearFolding+0x18)[0x80dd6e8] gvim(buf_freeall+0x175)[0x80776e5] gvim(close_buffer+0x106)[0x8078046] gvim(set_curbuf+0x11d)[0x8078e9d] gvim(do_buffer+0x40e)[0x80792fe] gvim(goto_buffer+0x4b)[0x8079f7b] gvim[0x80be9a6] gvim[0x80c1ce3] gvim(do_cmdline+0x43b)[0x80c304b] gvim[0x812dbd2] gvim(normal_cmd+0x3d0)[0x81302d0] gvim(main_loop+0x273)[0x80f4a43] gvim(main+0xaf5)[0x80f7f45] /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe0)[0xb72af050] gvim(init_ast+0xc79)[0x8071ef1] === Memory map: 08048000-081f6000 r-xp fe:02 103264 /usr/bin/vim.gnome 081f6000-08203000 rw-p 001ad000 fe:02 103264 /usr/bin/vim.gnome 08203000-08d51000 rw-p 08203000 00:00 0 [heap] b684-b684a000 r-xp fe:02 21538 /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 b684a000-b684b000 rw-p a000 fe:02 21538 /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 b6858000-b6984000 rw-p b6858000 00:00 0 b6985000-b69c9000 r--p fe:02 241749 /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansMono-Bold.ttf b69c9000-b6a29000 rw-s 00:09 3309587/SYSV (deleted) b6a29000-b6a2f000 r-xp fe:02 100667 /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-xpm.so b6a2f000-b6a3 rw-p 5000 fe:02 100667 /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-xpm.so b6a3-b6a41000 r--p fe:02 241730 /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bitstream-vera/Vera.ttf b6a41000-b6a88000 r--p fe:02 241752 /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansMono.ttf b6a88000-b6a8a000 r-xp fe:02 181660 /usr/lib/pango/1.6.0/modules/pango-basic-fc.so b6a8a000-b6a8b000 rw-p 1000 fe:02 181660 /usr/lib/pango/1.6.0/modules/pango-basic-fc.so b6a8b000-b6a91000 r--s fe:02 416594 /var/cache/fontconfig/945677eb7aeaf62f1d50efc3fb3ec7d8-x86.cache-2 b6a91000-b6a92000 r--s fe:02 416591 /var/cache/fontconfig/fd9505950c048a77dc4b710eb6a628ed-x86.cache-2 b6a92000-b6a95000 r--s fe:02 416589 /var/cache/fontconfig/ddc79d3ea06a7c6ffa86ede85f3bb5df-x86.cache-2 b6a95000-b6a96000 r--s fe:02 416587 /var/cache/fontconfig/e7071f4a29fa870f4323321c154eba04-x86.cache-2 b6a96000-b6a97000 r--s fe:02 416586 /var/cache/fontconfig/a2ab74764b07279e7c36ddb1d302cf26-x86.cache-2 b6a97000-b6a9b000 r--s fe:02 416585 /var/cache/fontconfig/921a30a17f0be15c70ac14043cb7a739-x86.cache-2 b6a9b000-b6a9c000 r--s fe:02 416583 /var/cache/fontconfig/c69f04ab05004e31a6d5e715764f16d8-x86.cache-2 b6a9c000-b6a9d000 r--s fe:02 416582 /var/cache/fontconfig/4c73fe0c47614734b17d736dbde7580a-x86.cache-2 b6a9d000-b6a9f000 r--s fe:02 416581 /var/cache/fontconfig/646addb8444faa74ee138aa00ab0b6a0-x86.cache-2 b6a9f000-b6aa1000 r--s fe:02 416579 /var/cache/fontconfig/20bd79ad97094406f7d1b9654bfbd926-x86.cache-2 b6aa1000-b6aa2000 r--s fe:02 416576 /var/cache/fontconfig/75a2cd575a62c63e802c11411fb87c37-x86.cache-2 b6aa2000-b6aa4000 r--s fe:02 416575 /var/cache/fontconfig/9c0624108b9a2ae8552f664125be8356-x86.cache-2 b6aa4000-b6aaa000 r--s fe:02 416574 /var/cache/fontconfig/6d41288fd70b0be22e8c3a91e032eec0-x86.cache-2 b6aaa000-b6aac000 r--s fe:02 416573 /var/cache/fontconfig/de156ccd2eddbdc19d37a45b8b2aac9c-x86.cache-2 b6aac000-b6aae000 r--s fe:02 416569 /var/cache/fontconfig/da1bd5ca8443ffe22927a23ce431d198-x86.cache-2 b6aae000-b6ab6000 r--s fe:02 416568 /var/cache/fontconfig/e3de0de479f42330eadf588a55fb5bf4-x86.cache-2 b6ab6000-b6abc000 r--s fe:02 416565 /var/cache/fontconfig/0f34bcd4b6ee430af32735b75db7f02b-x86.cache-2 b6abc000-b6abd000 r--s fe:02 416563 /var/cache/fontconfig/4794a0821666d79190d59a36cb4f44b5-x86.cache-2 b6abd000-b6ad4000 r--s fe:02 416551 /var/cache/fontconfig/365b55f210c0a22e9a19e35191240f32-x86.cache-2 b6ad4000-b6ad6000 r--s fe:02 416445 /var/cache/fontconfig/de9486f0b47a4d768a594cb4198cb1c6-x86.cache-2 b6ad6000-b6adc000 r--s fe:02 416385 /var/cache/fontconfig/d52a8644073d54c13679302ca1180695-x86.cache-2 b6adc000-b6adf000 r--s fe:02 416383
