I solved this problem by running gnome-power-preferences and checking
the ticky box for "always display an icon" and the icon is back. Of
course, it would have been better if the upgrade hadn't zotted my

I just purchased an ECS-RS482-M754 motherboard with an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200,
which I have installed Gutsy on. I had to go through the installation using
"Safe Graphics Mode" because Compiz-Fusion was causing X to crash (using the

Some more info and a couple of comments:
- This bug is specific to HP/Compaq laptops - if another similar seeming bug is
described that affects OTHER brands it is NOT the same bug
- Restarting things like alsa, etc have no impact since the whole sound
subsystem is "working", there's just no powe

data. There is box in the vpn setup dialogue to specify the mtu value.

The following/attached trivial LyX file gives a bunch of errors when compiling.
It simply contains any multline equation (eqnarray) inside a table (tabular)
environment.
The result of exporting latex also produces a broken latex file.
