Hmmm I'm getting slightly different results when I set my computer into Resume
and Hibernate.
Resume will not give me a blinking cursor or lag out. It will perform the
identical action of "Lock Screen."

I'm also having this problem on an Abit IP35-E. I'm guessing SATA is in
IDE mode as the BIOS doesn't offer any options in that regard.
After booting the LiveCD a bunch of times I finally got lucky and
managed to install the system. The hangs seem to be completely random
at the start of the boot

down to 1024x768, but no deal. I'm on a ThinkPad T40, Radeon 7500.

Binary package hint: gnome-applets
In Feisty, mousing over the music applet time counter would display a
tooltop showing what's currently playing. In Gutsy, it doesn't work.

Workarounds:
a) resize the partition containing /, or /var/ or /usr.
or
b) mv /var/cache/apt to a different partion and make a symlink to it
or
c) mv /var/cache/apt to a different partition and edit
/etc/apt/apt.conf
with the following line:
Dir::Cache::archives "/path/to/your/archive/d
I just realized that whether or not the icons behave correctly depends on if
they are in PNG or XPM format. Firefox has a PNG icon, Rhythmbox uses an XPM
icon.
Also: check out ~/.nautilus/metafiles. The one for your desktop contains XML
entries for each icon; I added
icon_scale="2.56"

well it turns out my problem was caused by a firewall on my feisty
system. as soon as i disabled it my gutsy samba was fine. sorry for the
false alarm.

Same issue. Though interestingly for me when I suspend without Compiz
Fusion it works, re-enable Compiz Fusion and then suspend works in
Compiz Fusion now.

This seems to be a generic Gnome feature, if an application doesn't
understand automatic proxy it will use the manual http proxy

I've just done a complete re-install and something strange happened. The
resolution was 1900x1200 60Hz using Ubuntu drivers but after an update and
reboot we're back to 1600x1200 60Hz!

Because the package hasn't been updated for Gutsy Final Release,
something need to be done around the low permissions of the /etc/qt3
folder ( this folder will not have right permissions in the final
release ).
I updated the debdiff to create a postint file which will change the
permissions of the
