[Bug 206979] [NEW] Nautilus occasionally hangs when DnDing an item and passing over Network Servers
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Description:Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release:8.04 nautilus: Installed: 1:2.22.0-0ubuntu3 gvfs: Installed: 0.2.1-1ubuntu1 gvfs-backends: Installed: 0.2.1-1ubuntu1 Steps to reproduce: 1) Open a nautilus window with a Places sidepane. 2) Drag a file from your desktop into the main pane, passing over the Network Servers Places entry. Expected Behavior: Nothing should occur on passing over the Network Servers entry. Actual Behavior: Nautilus (and the entire UI, including mouse) hangs for a short time, possibly trying to perform some network operation that times out. No possibly-blocking action should be taken with regards to a drag and drop target until the drag is ended by releasing the mouse button. Oddly, as I write this bug, I can't seem to recreate it, so maybe I'm missing another triggering condition. [Bug 206984] [NEW] Wrong dpi in hardy when second monitor is disabled
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Xorg in Hardy beta seems to use wrong resolution (DPI) when two monitors are connected, but one of them is disabled. This results in e.g. wrong aspect ratio of videos in totem (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/198054). I think this bug is the same as here (status invalid): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/38946. When one monitor is disabled, xdpyinfo shows screen #0: dimensions:1920x1200 pixels (1049x331 millimeters) resolution:46x92 dots per inch which is obviously wrong. With both monitors enabled screen #0: dimensions:3840x1200 pixels (1049x331 millimeters) resolution:93x92 dots per inch and everything works correctly. Also, Xorg.0.log has a line (--) NVIDIA(0): DPI set to (93, 92); computed from UseEdidDpi X config Note that I'm using NVidia drivers (171.06 beta) with twinview enabled. Note to the triagers: while I can't exclude the possibility, it doesn't smell like an architecture bug to me, more like a generic bug. [Bug 206991] [NEW] File operations dialog doesn't remember its position
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus If you have a long file transfer going, and you move the File operations dialog to a corner of your screen, any of the following events will cause the File operations dialog repositions itself to the center of the screen: * you start another transfer * you cancel one of the transfers * one of the transfers finishes * you click the File operations icon in the notification area twice (once to hide the dialog, then again to re-show it) The file operations dialog should stay where I put it. [Bug 192407] Re: Thinkpad T61 crashes on resume from suspend
With a fresh installation of Ubuntu Hardy Beta 64bit the above mentioned problem does not occur anymore. Therefore, I conclude that this problem is restricted to the 32bit version. However, there are other minor problems with suspending in the 64bit version: After resuming mostly a white screen is displayed instead of the password prompt. However, after entering the password the desktop is correctly displayed. Only sometimes a white area in the lower right corner of the screen remains even after suspending again. The mouse pointer is shown in this area but clicking on the area where the panel applets are usually located does not cause any reaction. After restarting X everything is fine. -- Thinkpad T61 crashes on resume from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/192407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
