I'll try a daily build later today, but the latest Beta from Jaunty was having
this problem.
I successfully started installation of Jaunty on a OpenSolaris Zvol
(iSCSI target) using these three commands at

Where was the fix released? For 9.04? I just tried installing php-
gtk-2.0.1 from source in 8.10 kept current, and I needed to apply the
same workaround as Alessandro (it worked for me, thanks!). If it was
fixed in 9.04, shouldn;t a patch be applied in all the supported
distributions?

Yeah - it looks to me like Bug 358173 is the same bug.
I find it very strange that this bug only affects mythbackend (all the
possible duplicates seem to reference mythtv). I suspect that it is

After updating to Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04, my PS2 IBM mouse (Model 12J3619)
has stopped scrolling with kernel 2.6.28-11-generic (i386). Booting with
kernel 2.6.27-11-generic (i386) solves the problem. Booting with another
OS also works, so I deduce it is not a hardware problem.

I can confirm on Jaunty that it does not render correctly in evince or xpdf,
but does so in acroread.
Seems like a font issue, the errors on the console are:

I am testing out the pre-release of Ubuntu 9.04, but unfortunately it
only seems to have GDM version 2.20.10-0ubuntu2. Is there a chance that

I tried to reproduce your crash, but cannot on a up to date jaunty.
Could you still reproduce the crash? Does it also appear after updating
jaunty? As you see from dependency list, python2.6 is the same you have
(2.6.2~rc1-0ubuntu1).

Binary package hint: update-manager
Jaunty Update Manager complained that it could only perform a partial update,
but it fail and silently disappear.
Apt-get autoclean + apt-get update + apt-get upgrade solved problem. This
should be related to switching main repo in GUI
I see the same thing as Nicolò C. Will file new bug report.
