[Bug 358652] Re: Error during mysql slave replication
** Description changed: After upgrading to jaunty I have problem with replication system in mysql. After every system reboot I have to issue RESET SLAVE; START SLAVE; command to continue this to work. The reason for that is fact that relays log have higher index number than number stored in mysqld- relay-bin.index. These two command simply reset that. What is even more interesting /etc/init.d/mysql restart doesn't generate mentioned problem. [Bug 269492] Re: iSCSI support (modules and configuration) missing from initramfs
On jaunty, I had success with these steps, done BEFORE rebooting into my new installation. The key is creating the file /etc/iscsi/iscsi.initramfs and rebuilding the init ram disk. [Bug 359883] [NEW] rtl8187b does not work with ipv6 enabled
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 8.10, both 32 and 64 bit editions, using a Realtek rtl8187b usb device (0bda:8189), the adapter associates and establishes a connection with the router fine, but after a few seconds stops working. Checking the syslog I found that the adapter stops working the exact moment an ipv6 address is assigned to it. Blacklisting the ipv6 module solves the problem, however, ipv6 support is obviously lost, which is a tad inconvenient. Using the same device in Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit with the Microsoft Windows driver (using ndiswrapper) works fine, including ipv6 support. [Bug 314389] Re: Jaunty: X windows hang after a short while -- seems to be DRI related
With all today updates of Jaunty (kernel, xorg, xorg drivers, KUbuntu KDE4, everything other that arrives through aptitude dist-upgrade, and a fresh reboot), the bug still persists. My computer is ASUS Z99Le notebook with A8Le motheboard and Intel Mobile GM965/GL960 video controller. The video driver is autodetected as intel. To reproduce the bug, it is enough to run GoogleEarth (it is OpenGL application if I understand correctly) for about 5 minutes and exit it, and then the graphics and keyboard freeze very soon (after 5..10 minutes of using some other apps like Seamonkey/Pidgin/Skype/Konsole), leaving only the mouse pointer moving. It is still possible to log into the system by network (and see these SIGLARMs in X by strace/ltrace). As I understand, at this time, the X server is trying to do ioctls on the file descriptor opened for /dev/dri/card0 and getting SIGALRMs in response. But killing the X server and hoping for kdm to restart it does not help - I have to do full reboot of the system to restore proper graphics operation. -- Jaunty: X windows hang after a short while -- seems to be DRI related https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/314389 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This has an embedded unzipping library (kunzip/*). I would be happier if it could be ported to libzip instead. I have this same problem in Ubuntu 8.10. I have the latest version of Flash and the nVidia driver installed, and I have an nVidia 8600GT card. I'm not using Compiz. Full screen videos from YouTube, Hulu, and South Park are all jerky. The above workaround for trying to force hardware acceleration doesn't do anything for me.
