Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
When I try to rewrap the program rewarps ALL the text as if it was a single
paragraph.
It would be good to rewarp paragraph by paragraph.

Displaying rebuilding search index in Synaptic isn't really helpful
for a user when they don't know what a search index is or what
rebuilding it will result in (and I guess there are quite a few people
for whom this is the case). A better option would perhaps be telling the
I have asked the Gutenprint upstream developers to add this printer in
the upcoming 5.2.4 release and they have done so. The new version will
soon come out and be packaged for Karmic.

I registered just to say that I have been seriously affected by this
bug, and it certainly deserves more than the medium designation.
Single core, ~1GHz processor, would deadlock consistently on rm -rf'ing
a directory of photos (~4MB each, thousands of them) using the stock

Yes I agree, lets do it server side. I went through yelps source last
night and am unclear which XSL gives the string in question (from the
comments in yelp-search-parser.c) - I certainly couldn't find it.
Perhaps it would be worth bringing yelp back in first, as it might be
more obvious than I
Just a correction/extension to the above in case it is relevant:
I have three different PCs, two with Jaunty and one with Mint Gloria
(based on Jaunty). The first Jaunty shuts down with no beeps, the second
Jaunty (a Compaq DeskPro) and the third Mint Gloria (a Dell Optiplex)

This bug was found during an upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10, so
probably doesn't apply to 9.04. At the time I was reporting so it could
be fixed for others doing this same upgrade. I have since upgraded to
9.04 without VLC problems, so assume this has been fixed in later
releases.

I'm pretty sure I'm hitting the same bug on a different laptop model.
I'm attaching the files requested in the DebuggingTouchpadDetection
wikki page. This is on Jaunty, and my touchpad does not work at all.
