This happens for every start (apt-get updated today) even after a fresh
reboot, so rsyslogd is basically unusable. Attached is a gzipped strace
output of the daemon when it starts. The "kernel: imklog Error return
from sys_sycall: 1" write at the end loops "forever". Hopefully

related to LDAP access permissions. Thanks for the tip!
I don't want to use LDAP for authentication if I don't have to, but I do
intend to encrypt connections to the directory once I get this worked
out.

/DMZ-White/cursors I see that all the files are there, I just can't get
kubuntu to use them (ie. the loading cursor is still oxygen).
