/etc/default/squid and always uses 1024 file descriptors, which is too

It seems autofs is completely broken for me not only does the service
not start automatically it doesn't mount NFS shares on manual start.
Here is what I have tried

1) Install sysstat from your desired package manager
2) Delete the cron.d entry named /etc/cron.d/sysstat

After reinstalling most of the system, I tried logging in in GNOME safe

This continues to be a problem in Ubuntu 10.4. Any file with
unrecognized characters cannot be searched, meaningfully edited, or
saved. This is unacceptable, it should at least fail gracefully and, for
example, just display the hex equivalent of the non-ASCII character.

if I many times restart firefox (more than 1000 times) at some time the screen
freezes. The keyboard does not response to numlock key pressed. This does not
happen if I run the same program by ssh -X from an other machine on this box.

I tried it with the live/installation CD for 10.4 again. The effect
appears as well. I fiddled around with the monitors.
What helped was switching to same image in all monitors (the effect
vanished) and back again (and did not reappear).

KDE4 Window Decorator Crashes with
/usr/bin/buildd has been renamed in ubuntu-dev-tools 0.84:
* Rename buildd to ubuntu-build to resolve filename conflict
(Closes: #558816).
To make upgrades work correctly buildd needs to declare Replaces and Breaks on
ubuntu-dev-tools (= 0.83).
I prepared the changes for the package in
@Nigel: We need to fix the bug in the devel release (maverick) first.
Then we can fix it in a SRU (probably we want to the fix in lucid too).
To your debdiff:
1. The version should be 1.0.20ubuntu0.1 instead of 1.0.20ubuntu1.
2. LP should be capital letters (lp - LP)

Same problem on Lucid with a fresh install on Asus 1201N. I found a
forum that suggested the addition of he usbcore.autosuspend=-1 to
grub. In fact it works if I had that option.

F-spot should be able to resize photos as an 'edit' operation, not
merely when exporting to a gallery or web application. There is a
plugin to enable this, but it is not installed or enabled by default.
