I feel the problem is in the Notification Applet and Clock Applet. When I
remove these applets from my panel the panel works normally.

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One is not working properly for you. If you
would like to help debug the problem that would be greatly appreciated.
You can do the following in order to provide important details that will
help determine the root cause of this issue.
1) Quit the Ubuntu One client.
I had not installed binary from NVidia so I only updated with Synaptic.
It will update both nvidia-settings and drivers from 195 to 256.
Later I will test vino with compiz active.

I had installed 256 drivers from x-swat PPA and in two times I have
booted I had no problems:

Hi Jeremy,
I applied the latest updates this morning including, I think, a kernel
update (is this what you mean?). The hang still happens.
Note: This issue seems to occur on *every third* suspend action. I just
tested this twice and my laptop hung on the third suspend twice in a
row.
