I ran into the same problem after upgrading from Lucid to Maverick. The
problem is that vmbuilder isn't changing the disk file format from `raw'
to `cow2' when moving the image from /tmp to the install location. To
get the VM to boot just fire up virsh, edit [vm], and change driver
name='qemu'
In case you didn't catch the typo, it should be qcow2, not cow2.

plugins menu items in gedit appmenu indicator, but there is one issue.
Menu items wich are GtkMenuItems work well, but menu items which are
GtkMenu - act and look like GtkMenuItems and do not have submenus.

Back to the original problem, as reported in post #3 and #7. The fact is that
in many cases, we can successfully test a task by clicking Run selected task,
but then, in real life it won't run.

Just tested with 10.10 Release Candidate. Kernel still contains the
bug, black screen on startup, wrong display port display is selected.
Andy, is there any further work on this issue continuing before 10.10
release?
