rtap_iface=1, and activating rtap with ifconfig rtap0 up, NetworkManager
tries to reconnect to the wireless router. The kernel panics.

there was enough space for Ubuntu
It is, of course, possible that something is still leaving filesystems
"in use" before reboot, but sshd not dying wouldn't be one of them.. at
some point upstart will send SIGKILL if something does not die (the
default is 5 seconds after sending SIGTERM). So I doubt that sshd causes
this.

prepared a tiny patch. The patch will enable touch for every ISDV4
tablet, I think. If this works for you, I will look into a proper fix.

This is on ubuntu 10.10, I just installed it earlier today.
I have this card installed in my machine:

My Mac laptop with Snow Leopard, Win7(*), and 10.10 was booted into the
Ubuntu side during the switch, but it was in sleep mode. When i opened
the lid and it came-to after DST ended, the time displayed correctly.
On a separate machine, 10.04.1 LTS Server edition was powered off during
the switchov
And this problem which was 100% reproducible isn't reproducible at all
anymore now that I did this modprobe -r / modprobe.

Hmm color-me stupid, but with 2.6.37-rc1 after boot I can get the driver
working with modprobe -r r8169 && modprobe r8169.

Couple of additional things worth mentioning: doing a tcpdump while
running dhclient eth0 shows no packet going in or out; both LEDs are
also off.
