[Bug 726376] [NEW] Cannot create a WebDAV address book
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I have tried to add a WebDAV address book. The URL I specify is that of a WebDAV directory that is either empty, or else contains one or more vcard files - it makes no difference. [Bug 277493] Re: /etc/cron.daily/apt incorrectly overrides apt.conf proxy settings with GNOME proxy settings, losing proxy exclusion list, and causes updates to fail
Caveat: I no longer use Ubuntu. Yes, the new apt cron script seems to be mostly from upstream (Debian) without the http_proxy variable reference, so that part seems okay. So atleast 10.04 onwards the issue may have been fixed -- I'll leave it to somebody to test it, I'm sorry I don't have 10.04 machines around. However, the Ubuntu version has the following diff (against Lenny): +# check for a new archive signing key (against the master keyring) +if eval apt-key net-update $XSTDERR; then + debug_echo "apt-key net-update (success)" +else + debug_echo "apt-key net-update (failure)" +fi So I'm not sure how this will work unless apt-key has been changed to pick up http_proxy settings from apt.conf (see lp:226780). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277493 Title: /etc/cron.daily/apt incorrectly overrides apt.conf proxy settings with GNOME proxy settings, losing proxy exclusion list, and causes updates to fail -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 242274] Re: Options - change a value - Apply and Lingot Crashes
I recompiled lingot 0.9.0 on Ubuntu Natty and I couldn't get those segfaults to appear. I did manage to get a buffer overflow when setting the sample rate to 1150438151 in the preferences screen. The generated coredump of this was 1.9GB, so I won't be uploading that here. gdb log is attached, using the steps from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace. Changing the value of SAMPLE_RATE in lingot.conf back to 44100 allowed lingot to start successfully. Maybe there should be some input validation on the sample rate field in the preferences screen? I couldn't test OSS because lingot said it couldn't find /dev/dsp. I'm guessing that OSS is not installed. ** Attachment added: "gdb-lingot.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lingot/+bug/242274/+attachment/1875897/+files/gdb-lingot.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242274 Title: Options - change a value - Apply and Lingot Crashes -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 680627] Re: [SRU] Error starting Virtual Machine Manager: No module named version
Marc, thank you for your work. Two questions. One, you say this issue came about by switching from python-central to python-support. Is it possible that other packages are affected as well? Should this be fixed in python-support? Two, you correctly remark that the only upgrade patch is via Lucid. >From this you conclude (as I did initially) that Maverick and Natty are unaffected. But what about users that have already done karmic-lucid upgrade for example and moved on to maverick or even natty in the meantime? The workaround is easy enough to find in this ticket and I'm not sure the number of affected users is large enough to warrant a special solution for this. I'm merely pointing out the possibilities that there are users on maverick and natty that are affected by this. [Bug 726360] [NEW] Please add libboost-graph-parallel-dev, libboost-mpi-dev and libboost-mpi-python-dev, dropped from boost-defaults
Public bug reported: Hi, libboost-graph-parallel-dev, libboost-mpi-dev and libboost-mpi-python-dev has been dropped from boost-default, because of mpi packages and dependent been dropped from boost1.42. Now that those mpi packages are built, the non versioned ones should be built again, but not in boost-defaults (as it is in main). This can be done in this package (my recommendation) or in a separate new package (called for example boost-defaults-mpi). So I'm requesting a Feature Freeze Exception to add those packages, and after, updates the packages that are using some variant of the boost mpi packages (I found at least one: life). thanks, Fabrice ** Affects: boost-mpi-source1.42 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/726360 Title: Please add libboost-graph-parallel-dev, libboost-mpi-dev and libboost- mpi-python-dev, dropped from boost-defaults -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have tested this on my system with no issue. I opened and closed thunderbird 10 times to be sure. 10/10 times the font was rendered fine. This leads me to believe there is a local issue.
