Problem still exists in 11.04.
Right now I am installing kubuntu on notebook from
kubuntu-11.04-desktop-amd64.iso image.
ubiquity process is using 100% of CPU, and is very slow - installation
progress is updating about once per 10 minutes.
After installation completed, it still eating 100% CPU.

Same here with Medion Desktop PC and Samsung extern hard disk (USB).
From the day I updated to Kernel 2.6.32-33, using ¨safe remove¨ results in
complete crash of Ubuntu 10.04.2.
Mouse and keyboard (also USB) are instantly unuseable.
I presume some problem in USB handling?
