[Bug 817167] Re: package mysql-server-5.1 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10 failed to install/upgrade: sous-processus script post-installation installé tué par le signal (Processus arrêté)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It looks like you have a couple of issues here: 1) AppArmor parser error for /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld at line 9: Could not open 'abstractions/mysql' This is odd - this file is part of the apparmor package and should be represent in /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions - please could you take a look and see if it is missing. 2) /media/raid5/Pierre/mysql/serveur-ubuntu.lower-test is being denied to mysql It would appear that mysql is trying to access this directory to create data files - is /var/lib/mysql a symbolic link to this directory? In which case it probably needs to be added to /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld - see the file for how /var/lib/mysql is setup. Please update this file accordingly and try to start mysql. [Bug 509180] Re: ecryptfs sometimes seems to add trailing garbage to encrypted files
Linux linux 2.6.38-11-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 15 19:27:09 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Description:Ubuntu 11.04 Codename: natty After months of kernel and application crashes and corrupt files, I was ready to abandon Ubuntu 11.04 and go to some other distribution. Before doing that, I wrote a script to repeatedly md5sum the files in my ecryptfs directory and compare the results. I went single-user to ensure that nothing else was running and, sure enough, the script showed that md5sums changed randomly on files that I never touched. I went looking today and found this launchpad entry indicating that you have known for 18 months (since 9.10!) that ecryptfs is broken and is not suitable for production use. Why didn't you disable it in recent releases? My 11.04 install offered to encrypt my home directory during installation, yet you've known for 18 months that to do so would corrupt my system and crash it. I am frustrated that nobody took prompt action to disable the use of ecryptfs and to notify those of us using it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509180 Title: ecryptfs sometimes seems to add trailing garbage to encrypted files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/509180/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
