Thank you for your report. This looks like a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, so I'm marking this bug as Invalid. You can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug rather than a problem specific to your system, include steps to reproduce this problem on a different system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: php5 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1174631 Title: package php5-fpm 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 255 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1174631/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Hi, as I'm setting up to reproduce this, I'm wondering exactly what to do with eth1. You are putting into br1, and leaving both eth1 and br1 unconfigured, at least according to interfaces(5). Are you later on manually configuring it? Then your vms get their nics also bridged to br1, so how you're configuring it is essential of course. [Bug 1159748] Re: Ramdom apache2 crash in Ubuntu 12.04 (libpthread-2.15.so)
I'm glad I stumbled onto this bug. My full information is available at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16304844/php-apc-causing-apache-to- seg-fault. - I am not using RequestTracker. - This happens for me any time I issue sudo service apache2 graceful. Issuing reload doesn't seem to cause mine to sigfault, but graceful does. - Apache reliably goes down around 6:45am every day, which, as another poster noted, is when logrotate is set to run. In my logrotate scripts, I restart apache2 gracefully. - When apache2 segfaults, I get the following error in /var/log/apache2/error.log: [Tue Apr 30 11:05:33 2013] [notice] Graceful restart requested, doing restart PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 [Tue Apr 30 11:05:34 2013] [notice] seg fault or similar nasty error detected in the parent process Does anyone have any clue as to what's going on here? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1159748 Title: Ramdom apache2 crash in Ubuntu 12.04 (libpthread-2.15.so) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1159748/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Actually, I think I spoke too soon. It looks like reload AND graceful cause apache2 to segfault. Only a full restart or stopping/starting apache2 seem to get it going again. [Bug 1124384] Re: Configuration reload clears event that others jobs may be waiting on
ppa:xnox/backports has the updated upstart package that has the following fixes: * reload configuration always works and all events are preserved * the postinst script was modified to not execute stateful re-exec if runlevel 2 has not been reached yet The reason for the latter, is that we still loose events that are blocking jobs that are not running yet across the stateful re-exec, because EventJobOperators (aka start_on stop_on conditions) are not serialised to include progress information w.r.t. their states (e.g. TRUE or FALSE for each condition to tell apart if it has fired or not yet). The above fixes allow to always run reload-configuration, including early boot. And safeguard against automatic re-execution if upstart package is upgraded during early boot. To fix stateful re-execution in early boot, we need to serialise all objects used by upstart which upstream has avoided to do so far. Also it's questionable if stateful re-execution in early boot is a desired requirement. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1124384 Title: Configuration reload clears event that others jobs may be waiting on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/1124384/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1100843] Re: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues
I have a few VMs (precise) that process high-volume transaction jobs each night. After I've done a live-migrate operation to replace faulty power supply on a bare-metal server, we encountered sluggish performance on the migrated VMs, significant higher CPU is recorded in particular, where the same nightly job would consume way more CPU and took more time to finish on identical hardware. Upon investigation, we noticed that the only change introduced was the live migrate operation. Upon rebooting the guest OS of the VMs, the performance is back to normal. I suspect we're hitting the same problem as the one filed here.. I will attempt to run lmbench next to see if I would notice similar behavior on system calls costs as the one recorded in comments #19..21,23. -- Latest KVM is used from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS :: qemu-kvm (1.0+noroms-0ubuntu14.8) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100843 Title: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1100843/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

A PPA of this kernel is available at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/ and instructions on how to install and uninstall it are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/17213 Title: acpi - Option to disable CD/DVD drive for power saving To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/17213/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1142385] Re: B43 Wireless Autoconnect Failure
Issue seems to have disappeared in kernel 3.9. As indicated in my last comment, I installed an upstream kernel (3.9.0-030900rc8-generic to be precise) and ran a 24 hour ping test. According to system logs no connection drops or loss of beacons. As a side effect, I could also remove the b43 from the list of SUSPEND_MODULES for the pm-utils (I couldn't get wakeup to work without reloading this kernel module after an upgrade to the first mainline kernel version 3 that came with an ordinary system upgrade if I recall correctly). The only side-effect that I noticed that it takes about 3 - 4 seconds for the network manager (I'm using a Mate-based desktop) to indicate a re-established connection when waking up after a suspend. Assuming I will find the time, I'll investigate this delay with getting an IP address further and report my findings here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1142385 Title: B43 Wireless Autoconnect Failure To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1142385/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1173941] Re: Ubuntu 13.04 doesn't start/ show login screen/ after intallation or upgrade
Ok, I removed the custom custom GRUB_GFX* settings, ran sudo update-grub and tried two different procedures: 1. Reboot hit 'e' key when grub menu appears remove only the 'splash' option in the linux ... line (the '$vt_handoff' stays there) hit F10 boot starts: flashing cursor for ~10 seconds boot messages login screen (success!) 2. edited the 'GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash' option in /etc/default/grub - GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet ran sudo update-grub reboot and 'e' key now the 'splash' option and (!) [Bug 1053443] Re: Unable to print to Konica Minolta C552DS printer - job history
On the BizHub unit referenced in the above Ghostscript bug, investigation by KonicaMinolta UK suggested that this was a firmware bug which has been addressed in the most recent revisions - I've yet to receive confirmation from the user on that, but KM were unable to reproduce the crash on their own test units with up to date firmware. [Bug 1091125] Re: [Dell M4700] Unable to hotplug ExpressCard 34
Submitting a patch using the built-in modules but rejected by kernel team because of building in the acpiphp modules before v3.10-rc1, which includes the Jiang's patch, will cause the ordering issue, the issue that other sub-driver related to acpiphp should link before the acpiphp.
