[Bug 1289612] Re: Sync python-concurrent.futures 2.1.6-3 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2014-03-10 Thread Sebastien Bacher
This bug was fixed in the package python-concurrent.futures - 2.1.6-3
Sponsored for Jackson Doak (noskcaj)

---
python-concurrent.futures (2.1.6-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Adopting the package (Closes: #736714).
  * Moves the package to pkg-openstack because I want to use Git.
  * Added missing build-depends: python-unittest2.
  * Removes Provides: python-futures, since concurrent.futures is really the
new API that upstream wants to advertise for.
  * Added extend-diff-ignore = ^[^/]*[.]egg-info/ in debian/source/options,
and removed the rm -rf *.egg-info from debian/rules.
  * Fix debian/copyright parseable format.
  * Simplify unit test runs.
  * Bumps to compat and debhelper 9.

 -- Thomas Goirand z...@debian.org Fri, 21 Feb 2014 15:07:44 +0800

python-concurrent.futures (2.1.6-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Team upload.
  * Fixes the fact that the package isn't installed at all in /usr/lib/python,
which makes it completely unusable:
- Added missing --with python2.
- Added explicit --buildsystem=python_distutils.
- Added Provides: python-futures
- Added missing ${sphinxdoc:Depends}, installing correctly with sphinx-build
  * Removed useless XS-Python-Version: = 2.6.
  * Removed deprecated python-support build-depends in the favor of dh_python2,
and therefore now build-depends on python-all version (= 2.6.6-3~).
  * Ran wrap-and-sort.
  * Fixed Format field of debian/copyright.

[Bug 1290331] [NEW] query_cache_* configuration not appropriate for all mysql alternatives

[Bug 1290334] [NEW] augtool does not properly parse /etc/cups/*.conf

Public bug reported:

Hi,

augtool has lenses intended to parse /etc/cups/*.conf, which do not work
as expected. Do a

augtool print /files/etc/cups/cupsd.conf

It presents directives as

/files/etc/cups/cupsd.conf/directive[4] = Listen
/files/etc/cups/cupsd.conf/directive[4]/arg = localhost:631

which makes it difficult to automatically change data. Usually augtool should

[Bug 1267393] Re: [MIR] juju-core, juju-mongodb, gccgo-go, gccgo-4.9, golang

2014-03-10 Thread Martin Pitt
I find it rather concerning that golang-go has no runtime library, but
everything gets linked in statically. This leads to enormous binaries
(e. g. each of the juju program are 30 MB) and hence lots of wasted
download/hard disk/archive space, as well as being quite an interesting
challenge wrt. security/bug fix updates, as pretty much every golang-go
program had to be rebuilt. This also completely escapes symbol tracking,
thus makes it hard to detect ABI changes, and thus leads to surprising
FTBFS of packages once the underlying toolchain changed.

[Bug 1290413] [NEW] postfix-to-mailman.py does not recognize lists that end in a control extension

2014-03-10 Thread Helge
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.04.4
Version: 1:2.1.13-1ubuntu0.2

The postfix-to-mailman.py script does not recognize list names like
mylist-admin or mylist-request.

Currently it strips off the control extension (e.g. -admin, -owner,
etc.) from mlist before checking if it actually exists.

This patch is very simple:
- Before checking for control extension, check if list_exists(mlist)
- Import list_exists from Mailman.Utils a little earlier.

Before applying this patch, trying to post to mylist-admin would
result in bounce message: user unknown

Can you tell us exactly how you created the container?

It sounds like you may have a container with devtmpfs mounted in /dev,
which will cause all changes in the container's /dev to show up on the

[Bug 1290423] [NEW] maintainer scripts always run db_sync during upgrade

2014-03-10 Thread James Page
Public bug reported:

The keystone maintainer script endeavours to check whether the
sql_connection string is set in keystone.conf; however it searches for
the wrong string:

if ! grep -q sql_connection /etc/keystone/keystone.conf
then
su -s /bin/sh -c 'exec keystone-manage db_sync' keystone
fi

The connection configuration uses the key 'connection' and inline with
other packages, I think we should only be doing a db_sync if the
connection is the default sqllite one (see glance for reference).

This is quite important - 2013.2.2 adds an index to an existing table
and takes a long time, resulting in quite a long outage; also running
from multiple locations might be bad as well.

[Bug 1244355] Re: needs to use add-apt-repository for cloud-archive:string

2014-03-10 Thread Dave Walker
Hello Scott, or anyone else affected,

Accepted cloud-init into precise-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-
init/0.6.3-0ubuntu1.11 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

I don't know that I added it myself, but if you're sure that I couldn't

[Bug 1290448] [NEW] Invalid Opcode when running samba-tool domain exportkeytab

2014-03-10 Thread Ian McMichael
Public bug reported:

To reproduce this bug, carry out the following:

Install a fresh Trust Tahr 14.04 AMD64 development build in a (KVM)
virtual machine as a basic server.

Install the samba (2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3) and bind9 packages.

Provision an Active Directory Domain with the following commands:

rm /etc/samba/smb.conf
samba-tool domain provision \
   --realm=EXAMPLE.NET --domain=EXAMPLE --adminpass='p4$$word'
--dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ \
   --server-role=dc --function-level=2008_R2 --use-xattrs=yes
--use-rfc2307

Add the following to /etc/bind/named.conf.options:

tkey-gssapi-keytab /var/lib/samba/private/dns.keytab;

Set the appropriate permissions on the Kerberos keytab used by BIND:

chgrp bind /var/lib/samba/private/dns.keytab
chmod g+r /var/lib/samba/private/dns.keytab

Edit /etc/bind/named.conf.local and add:

include /var/lib/samba/private/named.conf;

Edit /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.sbin.named and add the following:

# Samba4 DLZ and Active Directory Zones
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba/** rm,
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ldb/modules/ldb/** rm,
/var/lib/samba/private/dns.keytab rk,
/var/lib/samba/private/named.conf r,
/var/lib/samba/private/dns/** rwk,
/dev/urandom rw,
/var/tmp/** rw,

Restart apparmor and bind:

service apparmor reload
service bind9 restart

Test the DNS entries:

host -t SRV _ldap._tcp.example.net.
host -t SRV _kerberos._udp.example.net.
host -t A server.example.net.

Configure and test Kerberos:

cp /var/lib/samba/private/krb5.conf /etc/krb5.conf
service samba-ad-dc start
kinit administra...@example.net
klist

Test Samba dynamic DNS updates:

samba_dnsupdate --verbose --all-names

Add the following to /etc/ntp.conf:

# Samba4 Secure Time Socket
ntpsigndsocket /var/lib/samba/ntp_signd/
restrict default mssntp

Create the NTP socket directory, assign permissions and restart NTP:

chown root:ntp /var/lib/samba/ntp_signd
chmod 750 /var/lib/samba/ntp_signd
service ntp restart

Extract and secure the Kerberos keytab for the DC:

samba-tool domain exportkeytab /etc/krb5.dc.keytab --principal=server$

At this stage you receive Illegal instruction (core dumped). In
syslog, the following is logged:

kernel: [ 2982.725574] traps: samba-tool[2650] trap invalid
opcode ip:7f7e26aad8de sp:7fff2fc67308 error:0 in
libHDB_SAMBA4.so.0[7f7e26aac000+2000]

No keytab file is generated. Adding a -d 10 option to the command
produces the following debug output:

[Bug 1290448] Re: Invalid Opcode when running samba-tool domain exportkeytab

2014-03-10 Thread Ian McMichael
I've just upgraded Samba to 2:4.1.5+dfsg-1 from the Debian Jessie
repository. This also forced the following updates:

 2014-03-10 17:13:00 upgrade python-samba:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:00 upgrade samba-dsdb-modules:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:00 upgrade samba:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3 2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade samba-common-bin:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade smbclient:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade samba-common:all 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade samba-vfs-modules:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade libsmbclient:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1
 2014-03-10 17:13:01 upgrade samba-libs:amd64 2:4.1.3+dfsg-2ubuntu3
2:4.1.5+dfsg-1

Once complete the samba-tool domain exportkeytab command runs without
error and produces the expected keytab file.

[Bug 1157914] Re: time never catches up to reality after VM sleep

2014-03-10 Thread Serge Hallyn
Hi,

Thanks for filing this bug. I'd like to try to reproduce it but need a
few more details. Can you tell us exactly how you set up the vm, how
you start it, and how you initiate suspend? Is this all done through
virt-manager? You say it is a vmware fusion vm - does that mean you
started with a .vmdk of an appliance, converted it to qcow2 or raw, and
are using that? If not, what does it mean?

[Bug 1286686] Re: Lock screen shortcut is not working

2014-03-10 Thread ianorlin
also running the command lxsession-default lock
prints
lock

Launching lock manager

but the screen does not lock

A possible workaround for getting a locked screen on control alt l is to
make the keybinding in ~/.config/openbox

!-- Lock the screen on Ctrl + Alt + l--
keybind key=C-A-l
  action name=Execute
commandlxlock /command
  /action
/keybind
Will hardcode lxlock into the keybinding.

[Bug 1290218] [NEW] FFe: Sync calendarserver 5.1+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

2014-03-10 Thread Rahul Amaram
Public bug reported:

Please sync calendarserver 5.1+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable
(main)

Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception:
I am the Debian maintainer for Apple calendaserver. I have uploaded the latest
release for calendarserver (version 5.1). It would be great to get 5.1 into
trusty. The current version 3.2 in trusty is sort of outdated. I can help with
fixing important bugs on a priority basis to expedite the process of having 5.1
running smoothly in Ubuntu Trusty.

Changelog entries since current trusty version 3.2+dfsg-5:

calendarserver (5.1+dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release (Closes: #709607)
  * Updated NSS Configuration documentation (Closes: #696334)
  * Added documentation for PostgreSQL Peer authentication. Also debianized
bootstrapdatabase.py (Thanks to Georges Racinet and Fredrik Unger)
(Closes: #696931)
  * Removed fields Vcs-Svn and Vcs-Browser as they were pointing to upstream
sources rather than that where the debian package is maintained (Closes:
#709608)
  * IPv6 support added upstream (Closes: #719649)
  * Removed patch py-ssize-t-fix.patch as it has been included upstream in
r9700 (See http://trac.calendarserver.org/ticket/448)
  * Removed upgrade-nss-data-directories.py script and related changes. This
was being used to address an issue when upgrading from 1.2 to 2.4 (See
Debian Bug#610124). As we have had two major versions released since then,
we believe it to be safe to remove this fix.
  * Removed zoneinfo.patch

[Bug 1255482] Re: [Lenovo V480] Unable to suspend by closing the lid with NVIDIA proprietary driver

2014-03-10 Thread Po-Hsu Lin
With 14.04 dailylive (3.13.0-16), the proprietary drivers are now available,
system could be suspended with nvidia-331-update,
but the display will be blanked after resume form suspend

On resume, you can see the window that you opened before suspend, but no unlock
dialog.
If you try to move the cursor, the screen will become totally blanked.
Press ctrl+alt+F1 to switch to console and switch back, you will see the unlock
dialog.
Screenshot after the system was unlocked is attached here.

[Bug 1242259] Re: Thinkpad x1 Volume up down and mute keys stopped working after upgrade to Ubuntu 13.10

2014-03-10 Thread harrychillboy
@Hai NGUYEN VAN : did you try commnds like
* Increase volume : /usr/bin/pactl set-sink-volume 0 -- +20%
* Decrease volume : /usr/bin/pactl set-sink-volume 0 -- -20%
* Mute : /usr/bin/pactl set-sink-mute 0 toggle

If they work then you can create a shortcut yourself.
If these do not wotk then the issue might be in your sound settings / modules
loaded.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

  apport-collect 1290228

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-
bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this
functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

[Bug 1290232] [NEW] kubuntu 14.04: graphics driver not working properly

2014-03-10 Thread Hans-Peter
Public bug reported:

Did the upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04 yesterday (9-mar-2014). After that,
desktop behaviour was strange. I realized that the graphics driver chose the
strange resolution for both my display (as DVI-0, std resolution = 1680x1050)
and the tv screen on VGA-0 (std resolution = 1920x1080). When i turn on the tv
set, graphics driver switches to resoltion 1280x1024.
It is not possible to set the position relatively to each other. It always says
'absolute'. One time it was not possible to 'de-unify' the screens. So i
experience a lot of strange behaviour.
My graphics card is a Radeon 3100.
I think base problem is, that the ati-driver cannot be loaded. fglrx driver,
can't be loaded, either. But fglrx quit support for my card some time ago.
Until 13.04 the radeon driver was working very fine.

[Bug 1248025] Re: libvirt-bin fails to start inside Xen

2014-03-10 Thread Stefan Bader
This is dirty but at the same time we could be quite sure this does work
as it is clearly the startup going wrong. :)

Maybe I can go the other way round and downgrade my libvirt version to
the ubuntu1.1 level to see whether things fail then. Some of the CVE
fixes just read to me as fix leaking hypervisor capabilities into guests
which would be matching what we see. That for some reason the libxl
driver thinks it is running inside a dom0.

[Bug 1290236] [NEW] ubiquity gpt ext4 format error

2014-03-10 Thread Ernie 07
Public bug reported:

1. Create an ext4 partition on a GPT disk using gparted (v16 or v18) but do
not format it
2. Install 64-bit Ubuntu-14.04 desktop via 2014-03_09 07:49 iso from a USB
stick checking the format box
3. Back up the newly created installation using Acronis True Home build 6673
4. Observe that sector-by-sector mode was forced because the ext4 partition
was not recognized as such
5. Create a second ext4 partition and format that partition using gparted
(v18)
6. Install 64-bit Ubuntu-14.04 desktop via 2014-03_09 07:49 iso from a USB
stick leaving the format box unchecked
7. Back up the newly created installation using Acronis True Home build 6673
8. Observe that normal compression was applied resulting in a much smaller
image because the ext4 partition was recognized as such

It is my opinion that incorrect formatting might lead to manifestation of some
nasty intermittent bugs. Hopefully these steps which are 100% reproducible will
enable the bug to be located quickly.

 Hi!

This is very wierd. I am using a lot of Ubuntu 12.04 installations on
different hardware. And there is one machine, my desktop, where iOS 7
device mounting works eprfectly. On other Ubuntu Precise installations I
bump in trust loop bug described above.

I'd be happy to provide more information about this
machine/installation, where thw mounting works. Which information should
 I provide?
