[Bug 1267393] Re: [MIR] juju-core, juju-mongodb, gccgo-go, gccgo-4.9, golang
I find it rather concerning that golang-go has no runtime library, but everything gets linked in statically. This leads to enormous binaries (e. g. each of the juju program are 30 MB) and hence lots of wasted download/hard disk/archive space, as well as being quite an interesting challenge wrt. security/bug fix updates, as pretty much every golang-go program had to be rebuilt. [Bug 1290218] [NEW] FFe: Sync calendarserver 5.1+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Public bug reported: Please sync calendarserver 5.1+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: I am the Debian maintainer for Apple calendaserver. I have uploaded the latest release for calendarserver (version 5.1). It would be great to get 5.1 into trusty. The current version 3.2 in trusty is sort of outdated. I can help with fixing important bugs on a priority basis to expedite the process of having 5.1 running smoothly in Ubuntu Trusty. Changelog entries since current trusty version 3.2+dfsg-5: calendarserver (5.1+dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release (Closes: #709607) * Updated NSS Configuration documentation (Closes: #696334) * Added documentation for PostgreSQL Peer authentication. Also debianized bootstrapdatabase.py (Thanks to Georges Racinet and Fredrik Unger) (Closes: #696931) * Removed fields Vcs-Svn and Vcs-Browser as they were pointing to upstream sources rather than that where the debian package is maintained (Closes: #709608) * IPv6 support added upstream (Closes: #719649) * Removed patch py-ssize-t-fix.patch as it has been included upstream in r9700 (See http://trac.calendarserver.org/ticket/448) * Removed upgrade-nss-data-directories.py script and related changes. This was being used to address an issue when upgrading from 1.2 to 2.4 (See Debian Bug#610124). As we have had two major versions released since then, we believe it to be safe to remove this fix. * Removed zoneinfo.patch -- Rahul Amaram amaramra...@users.sourceforge.net Sun, 23 Feb 2014 10:51:58 +0530 ** Affects: calendarserver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290218 Title: FFe: Sync calendarserver 5.1+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calendarserver/+bug/1290218/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1290232] [NEW] kubuntu 14.04: graphics driver not working properly
Public bug reported: Did the upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04 yesterday (9-mar-2014). After that, desktop behaviour was strange. I realized that the graphics driver chose the strange resolution for both my display (as DVI-0, std resolution = 1680x1050) and the tv screen on VGA-0 (std resolution = 1920x1080). When i turn on the tv set, graphics driver switches to resoltion 1280x1024. It is not possible to set the position relatively to each other. It always says 'absolute'. One time it was not possible to 'de-unify' the screens. So i experience a lot of strange behaviour. My graphics card is a Radeon 3100. I think base problem is, that the ati-driver cannot be loaded. fglrx driver, can't be loaded, either. But fglrx quit support for my card some time ago. Until 13.04 the radeon driver was working very fine. ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: Xorg.0.log https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290232/+attachment/4016039/+files/Xorg.0.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290232 Title: kubuntu 14.04: graphics driver not working properly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1290232/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1248025] Re: libvirt-bin fails to start inside Xen
This is dirty but at the same time we could be quite sure this does work as it is clearly the startup going wrong. :) Maybe I can go the other way round and downgrade my libvirt version to the ubuntu1.1 level to see whether things fail then. Some of the CVE fixes just read to me as fix leaking hypervisor capabilities into guests which would be matching what we see. [Bug 1290236] [NEW] ubiquity gpt ext4 format error
Public bug reported: 1. Create an ext4 partition on a GPT disk using gparted (v16 or v18) but do not format it 2. Install 64-bit Ubuntu-14.04 desktop via 2014-03_09 07:49 iso from a USB stick checking the format box 3. Back up the newly created installation using Acronis True Home build 6673 4. Observe that sector-by-sector mode was forced because the ext4 partition was not recognized as such 5. Create a second ext4 partition and format that partition using gparted (v18) 6. Install 64-bit Ubuntu-14.04 desktop via 2014-03_09 07:49 iso from a USB stick leaving the format box unchecked 7. Back up the newly created installation using Acronis True Home build 6673 8. Observe that normal compression was applied resulting in a much smaller image because the ext4 partition was recognized as such It is my opinion that incorrect formatting might lead to manifestation of some nasty intermittent bugs.
