[Bug 1288572] Re: Nvidia driver does not work in Ubuntu GNOME trusty "14.04" (Optimus laptop)

2014-03-11 Thread Tim
sgon00,

we do care, however
1. we don't have any hardware to test on
2. we are volunteers who also have real life stuff that takes priority

also I still have no idea if this is some specific bug with your
hardware or a general issue with nvidia-prime. lightdm+gnome-shell
should in theory work fine right now.

[Bug 771963] Re: graphics card uses more power than needed when on battery

2014-03-11 Thread Luis Silva
apport information

** Tags added: trusty

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-radeon

By using powertop and reading the radeon/feature page on x.org I managed to
reduce the power consumption when on batery by about 4W on my laptop (from
about 22W to 18W). I just followed the recommendations on:
  http://www.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature
  and did:
  $ sudo -c sh 'echo "auto" >  /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile'

This solution, if it doesn't trigger problems for anyone, should be made
either the default or easily configurable through some file in /etc.

[Bug 1289194] Re: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffff8801a1ac07f8

2014-03-11 Thread Zsombor Egri
I've taken the kernel and the system seems to boot well. Both 3D
acceleration and "use full resolution for Retina display" is turned on.
The first boot goes well, but after the second one I start getting this:
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/7077754/

Seems the retina is not taken into account. However the system boots
reliably with 3.14.

[Bug 1272448] Re: December 2013 updates to 12.04 LTS cause multiple problems

2014-03-11 Thread octalman
Issue No. 10 has been resolved, but a new issue has appeared and an old
one (2) reappeared:

11. There appears to be a slow memory leak that manifests itself with
Firefox (though it may be elsewhere). When the system is left powered
up for an extended period (over a week, as observed in this case), one
or more of the windows become non-responsive.

12. System will not restart when shut down -- bootstrap fails with a
green screen (GSOD?). Power (the battery) must be removed to be able to
shut down and restart. This is similar to, but different in some
details, from previous shutdown/restart issues which appeared in
December, 2013. Formerly issue (2).

Issues 1 and 9 remain unresolved.

[Bug 1291196] [NEW] MILK DOESN'T DO A BODY GOOD!

2014-03-11 Thread koumeste jhon
Public bug reported:

lk Doesn’t Do the Body Intellectual
â¬SMilk Does a Body Redemptive.⬝ This was a marketing lie set upon the hearts
and minds of the Indweller group. Yet, the rig was brought to an precipitous
finish when the Ground Farm Tie was usurped to retinue for unreal publicizing
because river doesnâ¬"t do a embody redemptive. The Denizen Farm Association
could not show that milk was reputable for the body and had to withdraw this ad
campaign. That is the really reason is a operation cognition that is supposed
to ruin all inauspicious bacterium that can be found in concentrate products.
Currently, the manufactures of concentrate are using a treat birdsong,
Ultra-pasteurization. Which takes the fluid from chilled to cookery lie in near
2 seconds. It is a needed constituent of massive farm manufacturing due
monumental amounts of pollution contained within their root quantity. Not to
honor, it saves dairy manufactures stacks of money by extending the shelve
invigoration of their end set. Notwithstanding, in the knowledge of
sterilisation everything that is whole almost raw river is wrecked in the
transform. Sterilization not exclusive kills the prejudicious bacterium but
destroys the good bacteria. Along with the bacteria, the touch destroys all
good enzymes that can be found in raw milk. In the end, you are unexpended with
creaky concentrate that is ladened with deceased microorganism. Sterilization
may defeat most bacterium but it does not take the exsanguinous bacteria from
the product. E'er question of destroying moral and bad bacteria causes the
resign of histamines and cytotoxins to be spilled out from inside the bacteria
radiotelephone walls. Instantly, the embody identifies these two elements of
the bacterium as adulterating to the embody which triggers an immune
salutation. That guardian vector greeting produces magnified secretion
creation, symptoms of allergies, and enhanced angiopathy within the body.
Interestingly, pasteurization doesnâ¬"t end the bacteria suspected of effort
Crohnâ¬"s Disease, Pregnancy Tubloures. Currently, it is estimated 80% of cows
in astronomic dairy manufacturing plants are now infected with Estuary
Tubloures. Muttering of viruses, it is al SAFER COLON
deficient experience conditions of biggest creation farm plants it is highly
likely that there can be extend soilure finished the scatter to your river.
River from these giant manufacturing plants give also enjoin to be vulcanised
through a elucidation setup to disappear the heavyweight amounts of goo and pus
contained within the concentrate fluid. How nutritious can the milk you are
serving to your association be filled with uncharged virus
Oddly enough, over our lifetimes we bang been told to habituate our river to
get the calcium we poverty. We now are actuation this cold river onto our
children for the equal represent. Sterilization alters the system of milk
causing a state of calciumâ¬"s noesis to be wrapped by the body. The affect
also destroys the vitamin C, B12, and B6 that was originally institute in the
raw river. Itâ¬"s a unhazardous bet that it strength be indication for parents
to signaling looking elsewhere for their childâ¬"s calcium needs. Similar
unlighted river vegetables, seeds, and nuts for starters. The real self
production we are pushed to fish calves. Calves fed pasteurized milk do poorly
and umteen change die before matureness. Which only confirms pasteurized
concentrate can’t preserve time!
Numerous clinical studies are now linking pasteurized milk products to Spunk
Disease, Osteoporosis, Crohnâ¬"s and IBS Disease. Not to honour, Endocrine and
Boob Constellation. I exploit it really interesting that these are the very
very diseases on the locomote we concentrate roughly on a daily fundament that
demand wizard pills and unscheduled examination treatments. Maybe we should
honourable forestall intense pasteurized concentrate and see what happens? Who
do you cognize that doesnâ¬"t somebody at smallest one of these diseases?
Display an prompt supportive eudaemonia touch by removing pasteurized
concentrate products from your childâ¬"s fast you will see a reaction in the
merchandise and rigor of ear infections, colds, and episodes of sinusitis.

destroying products they would spot making them. No laws or regulations

2014-03-11 Thread Martin Pitt
Julian: This looks like a recent regression in autopkgtest, it now seems
to duplicate the unpacked source tree:

There is
/tmp/adt-run.KaKPDN/dsc0-build/python-apt-0.9.3.2/tests/old/test_extract_archive.py
 and
/tmp/adt-run.KaKPDN/dsc0-build/python-apt-0.9.3.2/python-apt-0.9.3.2/tests/old/test_extract_archive.py,
 i. e. it copies the python-apt-0.9.3.2 directory into itself.

[Bug 1291195] [NEW] digiKam is leaking memory when updating thumbnails

2014-03-11 Thread kolya
Public bug reported:

When updating thumbnails on large number of photos digiKam quickly uses
all memory and dies.

Similar problem have been reported for Fedora:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1023241

They've tracked the problem to memory leak in libpgf6. The leak has been
patched but probably not released as a separate release. Fedora release
a package based on svn revision.

It looks like similar issue had been discussed in kde mailing lists:
http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-devel/2013-November/070004.html.
The solution there is to use newer libpgf6, or use libpgf from digiKam
source.

Thanks!

[Bug 1291192] Re: click hook run-user fails when booting image 233

2014-03-11 Thread Ricardo Salveti
Besides not having enough permission to create any file at
/opt/click.ubuntu.com, it seems to expect a valid
/opt/click.ubuntu.com/.click/users/phablet directory when running the
user hook.

After creating /opt/click.ubuntu.com/.click/users/phablet by hand I'm
able to run the user hook (and then able to start a click package as
well).

[Bug 1260827] Re: HD 5970 multi monitor radeon screen corruption

2014-03-11 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
** Description changed:

When a window is open periodically horizontal corruption occurs on all
the screens in this 3 monitor setup. I also see corruption more like a
static in the shadow background on the game Kerbal Space Program.

The hardware config is three Samsung SynMaster XL2370 in a 5760 x 1080
configuration running off of first of the two XFX HD 5970 cards attached
via two DVI ports and one display port using an active DVI to display
  port adapter.

See attached screen captures for details.

Re: [Bug 1165954] Re: LSI 9211-it no drives seen

2014-03-11 Thread Trev Peterson
No, tried the latest kernels a while back and it was upstream. As I
mentioned in the ticket it's not in the debian 7 version but I didn't
have time to open an upstream bug ticket so I worked around it by
swapping hardware. I don't have access to the hardware anymore so can't
test further. Best of luck.

[Bug 1226962]

2014-03-11 Thread Paulo Fino
Hello everyone!

After months of switching layouts and banging my head against this bug,
I thought I should check LibreOffice settings (I'm using 4.1.5.3 now).
What figures? I did find something. And in just a few clicks.

This is not a bug! It's simply a matter of configuration.

For the regular keyboard shortcuts (like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc.) to remain
operational in LibreOffice applications while using a non-latin keyboard
layout (like Greek or Russian), go to Tools -> Options -> Language
Settings -> Languages, check the Ignore system input language option,
save, and Bob's your uncle.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

PS
Technically, though, shortcuts still remain language-dependent. This means if
you enable this option, you will have to set your document languages manually.

[Bug 1226962]

2014-03-11 Thread Infusiastic
The problem is with formatting shortcuts like Ctrl-B/Command+B and
Ctrl-I/Command+I shortcuts that still don’t work after Setting “Ignore
system input language option”. Ctrl-S/Command-S works even without this
setting.
