[Bug 1312419] Re: nl_cache_refill; rtnl_neigh_get fail to find neighbors in cache
I can confirm this issue in Trusty (libnl3 version 3.2.21-1), relative to Precise (3.2.3-2ubuntu2). I can install the Precise binaries for: libnl-3-200 libnl-3-dev libnl-genl-3-200 libnl-genl-3-dev libnl-route-3-200 libnl-route-3-dev onto a Trusty system, and the issue goes away. To reproduce, use the attached netlink-test.c and build/run like this: gcc -I/usr/include/libnl3 netlink-test.c -lnl-3 -lnl-route-3 -o netlink-test ./netlink-test 1.2.3.4 Or, for much more debugging output, run like: NLDBG=4 ./netlink-test 1.2.3.4 where 1.2.3.4 is the IP address of a neighboring machine (I used the output of route | sed -n '3{p;q}' | awk '{print $2}' , which gives my router). I recommend you try it in a Precise chroot (or just with the Precise binaries listed above installed) first, so you can verify you have a working IP address for the test. Then try it in Trusty and confirm the failure. With libnl3 binaries from Precise, I get: calling nl_socket_alloc calling rtnl_neigh_alloc_cache calling rtnl_neigh_get calling rtnl_neigh_get_lladdr hwLen: 6 But with Trusty's libnl3 stuff I get: calling nl_socket_alloc calling rtnl_neigh_alloc_cache calling rtnl_neigh_get rtnl_neigh_get returned NULL The attached program code is not my authorship, but Carl Soeder, my coworker at Akamai Technologies. Since the offending version is a *-1 release, the problem is not Ubuntu- specific. Since, also, Debian has not added any patches that change source code, the problem is not Debian-specific either. I'll open bugs with Debian and the libnl folks, and link to them here. ** Attachment added: Reproducing test program https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libnl3/+bug/1312419/+attachment/4277629/+files/netlink-test.c -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libnl3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1312419 Title: nl_cache_refill; rtnl_neigh_get fail to find neighbors in cache To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libnl3/+bug/1312419/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1312419] Re: nl_cache_refill; rtnl_neigh_get fail to find neighbors in cache
I've confirmed that the issue is fixed in Utopic (3.2.24-2) (I didn't know whether Utopic-built binaries work directly - I built from the Utopic source package). [Bug 1400854] Re: Weather scope not shown if WiFi is disabled and cache is empty
I could not reproduce this on vivid 50 on mako. But the scopes seem to disappear / time out occasionally, just not the weather channel for me. The first boot with 3G only, I slowly browser through one scope at a time, letting it load. The video scope I needed to pull down twice before it loaded, otherwise scopes worked (note that I didn't browse to them after flashing before disabling wifi). Then after removing the cache and rebooting, I needed to do extra refresh to Music scope because on the first (automatic) load try it loaded only texts, not images. Video I needed to refresh too. Ubuntu Store was empty, and unlike on the first boot with 3G only it didn't load at all despite refreshes. Youtube and Weather Channel scopes (also favorites) consistently showed their content for me. On rtm + mako, latest image 146 + apt update apt dist-upgrade to get the latest updates including Qt base update for bug #1357321: First boot with 3G only (before, scopes not browser at all after flashing with --bootstrap), all scopes loaded fine with images (apps, music, video, youtube, weather channel, ubuntu store). Second boot, after rm -rf .cache/unity8-dash, mostly the same but Popular tracks on Grooveshark in Music scope did not get the images. Third boot, after another rm -rf .cache/unity8-dash, same as second boot but I needed to refresh the Ubuntu Store to get images. Fourth boot, after another rm -rf .cache/unity8-dash, I waited a bit for the phone to be in 3G network as usual (ca. 10 seconds after entering PIN), but then I quickly browsed through all the scopes. This time it first seemed music scope failed to load images, but even though the progress bar spinning had ended it soon loaded the images. Youtube scope was empty, but fixed by doing a pull-down. Other scopes had their images loaded up correctly. --- All in all, rtm seems to work better for me than vivid on 3G only. It also seems to work a lot better than a few weeks ago (when I was already testing the Qt update) and I had more problems loading scope images with my slow 256kbit/s limited SIM. Back then, others reported no problems at all after installing the Qt update. Maybe some timeout / delay fixes in the scopes landed since then to help with slower connections. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1400854 Title: Weather scope not shown if WiFi is disabled and cache is empty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scopes-shell/+bug/1400854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1369273] Re: gnucash crashed with ImportError in /usr/share/gnucash/python/init.py: No module named gnucash
Adding to my last comment (#7), now I had to enter some additional transactions to gnucash, even after crashing on shutdown as described, transactions seem to be kept open fine, and on further startup, the application doesn't complain about the lock file being in use, so it looks like the crash takes place at the very end of the shutdown process, and other than the crash, nothing bad seems to be happening behind the scenes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369273 Title: gnucash crashed with ImportError in /usr/share/gnucash/python/init.py: No module named gnucash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnucash/+bug/1369273/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

ITE Device(8910) entry rather than the two it did before. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists- upstream-3.18 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1400463 Title: [Medion Akoya P2214T] Touchpad not properly recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1400463/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 958661] Re: bluetooth suddenly rejects all transfers (worked yesterday)
Unbelievable. Now, after 2 years and a half waiting for this to be fixed, and without hearing a thing from any developer, it TURNS OUT THERE'S A SETTING for this... IN THE WRONG PLACE, which you would never find unless you google for it. In Personal File Sharing there's a checkbox Receive files over bluetooth. All you need is to enable that. - this setting should be under Bluetooth Settings instead of (or in addition to) under Personal File Sharing. - it should be accessible from the notification icon on the top-right corner of the screen -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/958661 Title: bluetooth suddenly rejects all transfers (worked yesterday) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/958661/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 958661] Re: bluetooth suddenly rejects all transfers (worked yesterday)
Why the hell was this marked as duplicate of #1285948?! Don't you see that bug describe a problem in SENDING, not RECEIVING files over bluetooth? ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1285948 Can't send files over bluetooth -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/958661 Title: bluetooth suddenly rejects all transfers (worked yesterday) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/958661/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
