[Bug 1380084] Re: SSH client requires SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0 will not work without it, can't use key auth without SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0
Although the fix above works for ssh I cannot connect with filezilla and get the following error: Pageant failed to answer challenge So I removed SSL_AUTH_SOCK from .bashrc and could then connect again with filezilla, but not ssh. After a look around I can connect with ssh using the following format : ssh -o PubkeyAuthentication=no user@host.domain This also works for scp. However, it is a pain in the butt. If you use keys it circumvents the issue. However, not every machine I connect to and from has keys. I am the person who sent the email above on crashes on the 2.0.2 branch. To add some context to the frequency of crashes on 2.0.2, we saw the crashes on 2.0.2 happen a couple times so far compared to 100s of crashes over the past month on the 2.0.1 code. I will update this bug report and the ovs mailing list if things change with the frequency. If there is any additional information i can provide, let me know. [Bug 1402763] [NEW] Multicast traffic not propating correctly over linux bridge
Public bug reported: There's a lot of supposition in the title of this bug but its currently my best guess. In this deployment, I have a number of services running in LXC containers across multiple physical hosts; each service is clustered across three units, all on separate physical hosts, using corosync and pacemaker; when using multicast to support cluster communication, I occasionally see a container drop out of the cluster and use its isolation response (to shutdown all managed services); when using unicast I've not yet see this same problem. LXC containers are bridged to the main physical network using a linux bridge: eth0 - juju-br0 - vethXXX - | vethXXX | All MTU's are standard (1500). @michael, so you do that once, after some time the machine keeps growing, and growing and growing... and you have to redo that every so often... For the record, the workaround is deleting old snapshots in shutdown mode as per comment #14. [Bug 988843] Re: remmina/rdp window turns blue or crashes gnome-shell
Bastien Durel, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. First, execute at a terminal: cd /var/crash sudo rm * ; sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -y upgrade sudo service apport start force_start=1 If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now reproduce the crash, then open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. If you run the command against the crash report and a window pops up asking you to report this, but then never opens a new report, you would be affected by https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/994921 . In order to WORKAROUND this, one would need to open the following file via a command line: sudo nano /etc/apport/crashdb.conf and comment out the line: 'problem_types': ['Bug', 'Package'], by changing it to: # 'problem_types': ['Bug', 'Package'], Save, close, and try to file the crash report again via: ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 1002435] Re: Remmina crashes when trying to connect to a users rdp session in w28k
Alexander Marx, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Please do not attach your crash report manually to this report and reopen it. Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1289961] Re: 8086:08b2 [Lenovo ThinkPad T440s] Power management causes Intel wifi 7260 slowness
OK, I got it. It seems to me that the -8 version has uAPSD disabled. I don't know how to check that. In /sys/module/iwlwifi/parameters the uapsd_disable is set to N but as far I can remember uAPSD was disabled when using -8 version because -8 driver was buggy. Is it a kernel stuff to disable it ? When I use the -9 (e.g. latest 25.228.9.0) version, the download speed is very poor. Ok, I tried to pass uapsd_disable=Y in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf but it does not change the loaded parameter /sys/module/iwlwifi/parameters/uapsd_disable which is still set to N , so I think this parameter is forced by Ubuntu's kernel (that's really out of my knowledge abilities...). SO the workaround which can lead to a fix for this bug, waiting for 15.04 : - run Ubuntu 14.10 with -9 firmware (the default one) ; - remove iwlwifi/iwlmvm modules ; - reload (via modprobe) iwlwifi module with uapsd_disable=Y option ; - the download speed is max ! I read that uAPSD was enabled in -9 firmware because bugs have been busted. Maybe some of them survived ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289961 Title: 8086:08b2 [Lenovo ThinkPad T440s] Power management causes Intel wifi 7260 slowness To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1289961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

@gianluca, If you are using the Linux kernel from Ubuntu 14.04, such as 3.13.0-{39,40,43}-generic, those DKMS packages should not affect your system. You can remove them by `sudo apt-get purge oem-audio-hda-daily-lts-quantal oem-wireless-bluetooth-intel-7260` if you think they are redundant. `uname -r` can check the kernel version. [Bug 1008835] Re: remmina crash when is connecting to rdp server
tuxkillbill, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Please do not attach your crash report manually to this report and reopen it. Thank you for your understanding.
