Ubuntu Touch is not displaying characters of many Indic scripts
including Bengali (except Devnagari). Any app or webpage containing
characters from these scripts are shown blank.
A quick examination of /usr/share/fonts showed that the required fonts
were missing. After I adde
OK, so I just did a brand new install, clean machine, brand new drive,
downloaded 14.04 from server. Put on USB, Did full install. rebooted.
launced terminal
sudo and set root password
su to root
scp my old sshd_config off another ubuntu machine. version 10 LTS.

I believe that newer versions of abcde have rectified the mp3 tagging
issues. By default in 2.7.1 the tagging will be accomplished with eyed3
and options exist for id3v2 and even id3. Precise ships a very old
version of abcde that may be a little too much trouble to patch up...

I've enabled XDMCP in GDM, and created an xinetd service for VNC via
XDMCP.
Any time I try to connect via VNC, gdm crashes, taking down the local display
as well.
After that, gdm won't start again until I kill the "orphaned" local display.
