Looking at the Synaptic updates log on my system, imagemagick updates
were done at 01:45 and 13:01.
However, I could create an image with imagemagick at 13:04 on Dec. 1st.
Three minutes after the last update.

The indicators aren't really designed to be used in osx-style docks like
this, but really this looks like it's an issue with the icon theme
you're using not replacing enough icons. Not sure that this can really
be considered a bug in the indicator itself.
