[Bug 1663523] Re: Adding Opera Browser from Software Boutique breaks apt in Ubuntu Mate 16.04.1
It appears Software Boutique does add this source correctly, but Opera's packaging has a typo in their "postinst" script which overwrites this file. [Bug 1666432] [NEW] Internet drops every few minutes on wired and wireless connection
Public bug reported: Internet drops every few minutes on both wired and wireless connections even though connection icon indicates the computer is still connected. Dropped internet is discovered with "The site can't be reached" screens in Chromium, or error messages when downloading/updating in Terminal, or missing connection in Application Manager, or stalled syncing in Insync application (occurs even with Insync paused). Disconnecting and reconnecting via the connection icon resets internet temporarily. Internet drops more frequently on wireless than on wired. It seems to disconnect more frequently with heavier internet use (e.g., downloading multiple files, opening several webpages in quick succession). This is a fresh install (yesterday) of Ubuntu 16.04 on a Dell Inspiron 15 5567 (dual boot). Ethernet and WiFi both work in Windows 10, so it is not a hardware or router issue. [Bug 615307]
I tested opening further files as below which I think may not have been (fully) tested. I used HEAD "0ceae62". Windows 10: * "Open with" set up to open 2.0.6 when HEAD was already running (HEAD took the file, correctly) * "Open with" set up to open HEAD when HEAD was already running * "Send to" with multiple files selected * Opening further audio files and projects from the command-line * Just typing "audacity" from the command-line when two project windows were open (no crash). Ubuntu 14.04: * Launching Audacity from the command-line then opening further audio files and projects from the command-line * Then selecting multiple files and using Nautilus "Open with" (which supports multiple files). All worked well for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/615307 Title: opening a file from file manager when audacity is open gives error message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/audacity/+bug/615307/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 989396] Re: Package keyboard-configuration post-installation script. Hang on /bin/setupcon --force --save for 10 min then killed
Still affects Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS. I found that going to each server and hitting scroll lock seemed to magically un-block the hung "/bin/sh /bin/setupcon --force --save" process and allow the apt upgrade to continue successfully. My setup may have triggered this bug because I use a KVM for my servers which uses a double-tap of scroll lock to switch screens, so I tend to be pressing scroll lock a lot at my servers' hard consoles. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/989396 Title: Package keyboard-configuration post-installation script. [Bug 1665048] Re: xfce4-display-settings crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()
I noticed that the crash doesn't seem to happen if you change the screenmode from within xfce4-display-settings before resizing the window. I think what happens is something like this: 1. Xfce desktop starts at the default resolution 800x600. 2. Resizing the VBox window changes the list of available screen modes, but not the current screenmode. 3. xfce4-display-settings starts. Because there is no existing configuration it asks for the current desktop size, and ask xrandr for the screen mode matching that size. 4. Because that screen mode is no longer in the list, xrandr returns "no such mode". 5. xfce4-display-settings can't handle that, so it crashes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1665048 Title: xfce4-display-settings crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-settings/+bug/1665048/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1666368] [NEW] [Ubuntu 16.04] nginx won't start on boot while network does not up yet
Public bug reported: Hi Ubuntu bug report, After installing nginx and setup done, nginx works normally by "systemctl restart nginx.service" But nginx won't start on boot. After running "systemctl status nginx.service", I found that network & dns lookup have not done yet on boot. nginx should be started after network online and dns lookup working normally, instead of after network.target. In the attachment, I modified /lib/systemd/system/nginx.service to require network-online.target & nss-lookup.target works normally. Would you like to merge the patch to nginx package? [Bug 1508146] Re: alt + left/right arrows switch between tty consoles, cannot disable
This happens from time to time on my Ubuntu Gnome 16.10 install. Most of the time, things will behave normally but once in a while, the Alt key shortcuts will do all kinds of crazy stuff with the TTYs (not only Alt+Left/Right but also Alt+F1~7) I have no idea what causes this behavior but it has happened 3 times on the same Dell laptop. My main desktop PC (Gnome Shell installed on top of a regular Ubuntu install) has never had this issue. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Opinion => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1508146 Title: alt + left/right arrows switch between tty consoles, cannot disable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1508146/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1666361] [NEW] Maximize animation is not symmetrical: Left side is ahead of the right side
Public bug reported: Maximize animation is not symmetrical: Left side is ahead of the right side in reaching the top of the screen. It looks like this stems from U8's synchronous resizing. Animations however should not depend on such things (and should not wait for live resizing).
