Issue with that part over.
ifdown still broken.
Unknown if script issue is related, but those scripts worked fine before the

I was having the same issue, but the fix suggested by Juan Hernandez at
#32 seems to have worked!
I had to install xserver-xorg-core before I could install xserver-xorg-
input-libinput, but it seems to work now!

Upgraded from 16.04 to 16.10 on lubuntu. After upgrade, no ethernet.
"Network Connections" had no ethernet connection listed, and adding one
did nothing.
After doing:
# sudo ifconfig p1p1 up
# sudo dhclient -r p1p1
# sudo dhclient p1p1
the ethernet star
Doug, are you saying that the bug is fixed in a new version of mpv? If
so, which version works? If you can, try using zesty (17.04) which has
mpv 0.24.

I used the simpler 3.22.6-0ubuntu1 version number since 3.22 is yakkety
