The problem continues after several TTY update/upgrades of packages. I
tried to run the "apport-collect 1760261" command, but, due the issue
with no GUI the browser can't open to "confirm" that I am sending the

On my home laptop I upgraded my Kubuntu 17.10 to 18.04 beta1. Since then
I have problems starting an X-Session in general and the only fallback I
came to was installing Gnome and trying with Wayland, which gave me at

I have noticed that Kubuntu 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) does not login to
public Wifi hotspots without wifi security, that require login through a
web page. I don't know if this is reproducible on arbitrary public
networks, or only on the few I tried.
The solution was as follows:

OK, I forget to tell, that I use Unity!

when originally added.

Today the problem occurred again, so I could test /usr/lib/gnome-
settings-daemon/gsd-media-keys. Do I understand correctly that in a
terminal running bash inside, I simply give this /usr/lib/gnome-
settings-daemon/gsd-media-keys fully qualified path as a command?
The result is that it does not
