[Bug 1769416] Re: Can't login on 18.04 after entering wrong password
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1769416/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: bot-comment -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769416 Title: Can't login on 18.04 after entering wrong password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1769416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1768961] Re: xdg user-dirs not being read/stored correctly for desktop icon in left panel
I changed $HOME/.config/user-dirs.dirs so that XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop/foobar" and everything seems to behave fine, so I can't replicate your experience, which makes it hard to fix. Could you start with a fresh system (maybe a virtual machine) and come up with some clear steps? Barring that, you might bark up the tree of libqt5xdg3 but there's nothing about it, from what I can tell, that deals with the Desktop directory different than any others. ** Changed in: pcmanfm-qt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768961 Title: xdg user-dirs not being read/stored correctly for desktop icon in left panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm-qt/+bug/1768961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1768970] Re: Bionic: ubuntu-bug / apport not present
Lubuntu Next was never officially released, even though we had beta/alpha versions. Additionally, the idea of having both a LXDE and LXQt image is something we will not be continuing for the Cosmic cycle. Instead, we will be switching over to LXQt entirely. It will most certainly have apport in it, though we will need to do some packaging work on the Qt frontend (apport-kde) as it's a little less Qt and a little more KDE. [Bug 1769423] Re: Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller Won't Connect
Solution: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=219471 The problem seems to be with ertm. Disabling this works fantastically. echo 1 > /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_ertm works on a single session If you want a better solution to disable bluetooth ertm, then edit /etc/default/grub and add the kernel flag 'bluetooth.disable_ertm=1' to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX line. Then run 'sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg' and reboot. works even on multiple reboots. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769423 Title: Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller Won't Connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed/+bug/1769423/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1758821] Re: VLC memory leak & crash after playing a few videos
** Description changed: When playing videos with VLC, I noticed that the memory usage only increases when going from movie to movie. After a few videos have been played, the window stops drawing and audio keeps playing, but any attempts to close the program appears to stop it. [Bug 1769420] [NEW] Odd lxqt-config-file-associations for .jpg and .pdf
Public bug reported: I have Lubuntu Next 18.04 I do not know if the Lubuntu team modifies the file associations to match the release, or if the file associations are an LXQt default and are left intact until the user installs the Distro and modifies them. I don't even know if the associations are modified if one installs (or removes) an application package. Therefore, I don't know if this is the right place to report this or not. At some point after I installed Lubuntu Next, and some favorite applications to supplement or replace those in the default install, I noticed some strange file associations... A .pdf file currently is associated with LibreOffice Draw (which is unable to open it, and reports "This PDF file is encrypted and can't be opened. ") I would have expected an association with qpdfview (which opens the file just fine, as expected). Although I have since apparently fixed it, .jpg files were associated with Firefox. Since Firefox was not originally installed, I might guess that the association was with a generic browser, which originally pointed to Falkon, but which the installation of Firefox then switched to that browser. In any event, I might have expected an association with LXImage, as that is LXQt's image viewer. [There also was some weird association with e-book-viewer(or -editor), but I negligently managed not to write that down. It either was .txt or .odt] - scott@scott-ASUS-M2N68-AM-PLUS:~$ apt-cache policy lxqt-config lxqt-config: Installed: 0.12.0-3 Candidate: 0.12.0-3 Version table: *** 0.12.0-3 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status - ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: lxqt-config 0.12.0-3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-20.21-generic 4.15.17 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-20-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: LXQt Date: Sat May 5 21:16:50 2018 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-04-29 (6 days ago) InstallationMedia: Lubuntu-Next 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Alpha amd64 (20180421) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: lxqt-config UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: lxqt-config (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769420 Title: Odd lxqt-config-file-associations for .jpg and .pdf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-config/+bug/1769420/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1769416] [NEW] Can't login on 18.04 after entering wrong password
Public bug reported: Hello, so I just installed Ubuntu 18.04LTS on my computer ( HP Spectre x360 15 ), running in dual boot mode with windows 10, everything went well during the installation, the only problem I encountered is, if I type a wrong password and then I type the correct password, the desktop never loads... I waited like 20 minutes if anything would show up, but nothing, I can just see the cursor and the wallpaper nothing else, I had to manually turn off/on the computer multiple times, in order to see the boot manager again. If I enter the correct password at the first attempt, the desktop loads and everything works just fine. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769416 Title: Can't login on 18.04 after entering wrong password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1769416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1711337] Re: Firefox crashes at start on armv7L after 55.0.1 update
Lars, I went to sites like Gmail or Youtube that I thought had a chance of using optional NaCl, but I haven't been able to reproduce those error messages. I don't think Firefox supports NaCl, even with a plugin. Is it possible you imported browser settings from Chromium and it happened to include their NaCl extension? You could rule this out by moving or deleting ~/.mozilla/firefox then trying again. herrtimson, an illegal instruction would indicate your system lacks NEON or ARMv7 altogether, the same reason Firefox does not run on ARMv6 boards like Raspberry Pi B+ or Pi Zero. To check, cat /proc/cpuinfo There's also a chance that ungültiger maschienenbefehl means bad interpreter or not in executable format / File format not recognized. You can troubleshoot this with the ldd and file commands. [Bug 1752961] Re: With kernel 4.13 btrfs scans for devices before all devices have been discovered
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected apport-hook-error bionic ** Description changed: See attached dmesg outputs for booting kernels 4.11.x (working) and 4.13.x (not working). dmesg-4.11.0-14-good.txt shows the dmesg output when booting kernel 4.11.x. btrfs scans for devices after all 4 (sda, sdb, sdc, sdd) of the devices have been discovered by the kernel. The btrfs RAID1 filesystem mounts, and everything is good. dmesg-4.13.0-36-fail.txt shows the dmesg output when booting kernel 4.13.x. btrfs scans for devices after only 2 (sda, sdb) of the devices have been discovered by the kernel. The btrfs RAID1 filesystem fails to mount ("failed to read the system array: -5"). The remaining 2 devices (sdc, sdd) are discovered by the kernel immediately afterward. At the end of the log, I run `btrfs device scan` and mount the filesystem manually. [Bug 1727356] Re: Wayland does not start up on "Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) G33": Shader compilation failed
With 18.04 the situation got worse. Apparently, the login screen tries to run now on Wayland as well, so the opportunity to turn it off is gone. Booting simply stops at the Ubuntu logo, with the first of these five dots filled. Booting in recovery mode, then choosing 'continue'(?) gives a black screen most of the time, with some text blinking up shortly from time to time. Managed to catch it, see attached picture. The only way I could get this PC up running after the 18.04 upgrade was to boot into recovery mode, then get a root shell, then edit /etc/gdm3/custom.conf to remove the comment sign in front of WaylandEnable..., then reboot. ** Attachment added: "Screen photograph" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1727356/+attachment/5134590/+files/DSCF1218.JPG -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1727356 Title: Wayland does not start up on "Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) G33": Shader compilation failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1727356/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1768961] Re: xdg user-dirs not being read/stored correctly for desktop icon in left panel
I just noticed that ScreenGrab, in its Browse for default save directory, does exactly the same thing: Desktop under "Places" comes up as directory buttons (each of the following is its own button): / home scott " data scott Desktop" Note that there is a directory button containing only the quote character, and that the last directory has the name Desktop with attached quote mark on the end. I have to assume that both programs PCManFM and ScreenGrab utilize the same routine for scanning for user directories, and that that routine is what is screwing up "Desktop". What is that routine, and where is it located (what pkg), so that I can point this bug report in the right direction? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768961 Title: xdg user-dirs not being read/stored correctly for desktop icon in left panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm-qt/+bug/1768961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1769285] Re: package nginx-full 1.14.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed nginx-full package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

[Bug 1769285] Re: package nginx-full 1.14.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed nginx-full package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
This isn't a bug this is because you have two sites configured with the `listen 80 default_server;` line defined. You can only have `default_server` defined once. You need to go through your individual sites listed in `/etc/nginx/sites-enabled/` and `/etc/nginx/nginx.conf` and `/etc/nginx/conf.d/` that you have configured and find the two `default_server` lines that you've configured, and pick *one* of them to be the default server. Then remove `default_server` from the other one. (End-user configuration problems like this one are not package bugs, marking it as Invalid) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769285 Title: package nginx-full 1.14.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed nginx-full package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1769285/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1769406] [NEW] no pwsafe tray icon in Xubuntu 18.04
Public bug reported: Xubuntu Bionic 18.04 packages PasswordSafe 1.04. This version of PasswordSafe has a bug where the application does not create an icon in the system tray. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start passwordsafe and open a password database. 2. Wait for passwordsafe to lock the database. 3. Dismiss the dialogue box that asks you to unlock the database. 4. There is no icon in the system tray or notification area. The tray icon is needed in order to unlock the database again. Therefore, the application is unusable without the tray icon. Manually installing version 1.02 from the Password Safe website via dpkg used to work, but it does no longer. dpkg complains that libxerces-c3.1 is not available. libxerces-c3.2 is in fact installed with Bionic but does not satisfy the dependency in the version 1.02 .deb downloaded from the Password Safe website. This appears to be due to PasswordSafe bug #1443: https://sourceforge.net/p/passwordsafe/bugs/1443/ ** Affects: pwsafe (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769406 Title: no pwsafe tray icon in Xubuntu 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pwsafe/+bug/1769406/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1769405] [NEW] In GTK+ Look-And-Feel, Slider Controls Have No Visible Handle
Public bug reported: When using the GTK+ look-and-feel, slider controls have no visible handle you can click-on with the mouse, and drag. If you click in the slider area below the displayed number, and drag, it acts like there is a handle there, but you just can't see it. I expected to see a visible slider control handle in the GTK+ look-and- feel, which happens on the Nimbus and Metal look-and-feel (I didn't try others), but it is not visible in the GTK+ look-and-feel. [Bug 1755951] Re: forcepae option doesn't work for ubuntu-mate 18.04 beta
This bug was filed for ubuntu-mate 18.04 beta. Ubuntu-MATE 18.04 release boots and runs on my Banias Pentium-M with the 'forcepae' boot option entered after the '---' (interrupt boot by pressing F6, press 'Escape' to type in boot options). Interestingly, Virtualbox still seems to need 'PAE/NX' checked for the DVD or iso to boot. I don't know if this is due to 18.04 or due to Virtualbox. [Bug 1650989] Re: pinentry-gnome3 breaks gpg-agent
In ubuntu 18.04 it doesn't ask for the pin when I'm logged in via ssh without a DISPLAY= variable. Tried adding "pinentry-program /usr/bin/pinentry-curses" to ~/.gnupg /gpg-agent.conf but it didn't help. I had to remove pinentry-gnome3 to get gpg working when logged in via ssh. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1650989 Title: pinentry-gnome3 breaks gpg-agent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pinentry/+bug/1650989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1769404] [NEW] grub-installer fails during installation
Public bug reported: I choose to install Ubuntu 18.04 on /dev/sdb without opening advanced partitioning tool. I expect grub to be installed on same partition. But it seems grub-installer tries to install grub on /dev/sda by default. It fails to do so. [Bug 1769403] [NEW] USB devices (trackball and PS2-to-usb keyboard) freeze in Ubuntu Mate 16.04.4 , and DELL latitude
Public bug reported: Hi, I am facing the problem that is similar to the one described in the thread: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2342985 Laptop (Dell Latitude 6420) randomly stops responding to the usb Trackball and Keyboard. Unplugging & plugging them back into a different port does not fix the problem. Sometimes the problem is fixed after rebooting or suspending the laptopo, then turning it on; but the problem re-appears almost immediately - after 10". The problem is related to the Logitech trackman wheel & Mircosoft PS2 Keyboard, both are old. Command "lsusb" for the 2 devices gives: Bus 002 Device 005: ID 046d:c404 Logitech, Inc.
